That said, I should mention that I finally upgraded to Windows XP, and it`s crashed more times than an alcoholic cabbie on the 4th of July.
Down with iPod, long live Muvo!!!
iBox: It has a soul.
I DON`T LIKE PLATFORM GAMES, COMPUTER GAMES ARE THE SH`T!!!
"Macs are not overpriced. Get you head out of your ass."
right so a top end mac V an alienware or another top end pc. let me just sort through my ass and find a good game to play, right hmm hl2, quake 4, far cry, prey. OOps my top end mac just popped its sleek casing. while my ugly brutal pc, ate the game, then shat it onto the mac. want to upgrade your mac. PITY, you cant... buy a new one fass. I LOVE my ipod, wait i did untill the twelve month battery period ended. woops i lose.
and there are plenty of good games for mac, and if you dont like mac OS, you can install windows on apples, AND run mac OS without partition of the HD. hmmmm i dont see any windows machines running both, or 2 OS`s without partition.
and i have never heard of a virus for the macintosh OS...
Mac can do alot of things alot better out of the box. But a PC can be made to do anything, and most likely better, all depends on the program.
I can name 2 things that your precious mac`s can`t do. Right Click and play descent video games. If this wasn`t the case Boot Camp would have never been released.
Dark_Dragon, dont say something like those macs sucked because they were at a school. I know they did, the PCs they have suck too. But they are still better.
I`ve used windows before. But I like mac better.
Of course, most you are probably children who know nothing beyond macs then the crap kind your schools have. =/
Macs are not overpriced. Get you head out of your ass. Hardware specs alone are not the ONLY thing that makes or breaks a computer. Add in the price for the OS, the iLife apps, the nice packaging, and the aesthetics, you got a damn good value. Plus you don`t have to buy expensive anti-virus software or creative software, all built in.
Oh yeah, I forgot, why would market share come into play in virus making, when there were viruses for OS 9, and that had even LESS of a market share then OS X.
First off, I am a Mac guy, but I still recognize what the PC platform has to offer. Second, don`t naysay about either platform until you have used the "newest" generation of said platform. Yeah, an original Mac 128k is a crap shake compared to a modern Dell, so make sure your arguements are up to date. Macs do NOT take 2 minutes to turn off. Click the blue Apple logo, click shutdown, and you`re on your way.
The Mac market makes up a surprisingly large amount. Just in notebooks alone, the Mac owns 12% of the market. And regardless of how "small" the market share is, it is hard to create a virus for Mac. Maybe not hard to MAKE it, but to infect, thats the hard part. Safari, the default web browser for OS X, can literally pick apart a file and determine what it does. If its flagged as a virus, it will ask you whether or not you want
gets practicly no viruses,-= because the two people who have a mac would know who created the virus, it`s the guy without the it
and if apple made a gaming platform, it would be shaped like a box without a billion cables, because apple comes up with such simple and elegant designs-=Athesics simply can not beat performance it would probably just download games off the internet via wi-fii, with wireless controlers, a built in screen, and it would run off of a battery-= Probably, yeah. Too bad apple knows they would get owned by xbox nintendo and sony
and ostracod, you have NFI.
A PC is a complex tool. Something that can be taught to do anything. When building a program for a PC do you know how many different set-ups you ahev to cater for? So many different video cards, processors, audio cards, processors, hard drives. Different types of partioning, software, drivers. Hundreds of different motherboards and a old Windows operating systems.
When you get an apple porgramw, it`s built by apple themselves. It`s all the same inside there and the programmers are given an easy set of rules to follow to create. But their strokes are limited by it all.
There are no viruses, or any crashes, because when you buy a Mac, you`re not buying a computer. You`re buying a mac. It`s been built from the ground up to be what it is. It offers 100% compatability with itself. A constructed PC howeverm takes a learned individual and bundles of know how to get the thing off the ground, and running smoothly.
Stop fanboying it up.
I`ve had this on my ipod since they put it on the X-play podcast... irony? I think so.
It`s not that hard buddy, a 4 year old can plug in a power cord, lol
