Wait a minute. Why is the camera guy zooming way out just before the hawk comes? Is he trying to get a wider shot for the catch?

That was cool, Not as cool as a dog getting picked up by an eagle, It happened to my dog, luckley the eagle dropped him and he was okay. I think I`ll buy a mouse just to watch a hawk eat it.

BleednBeauty-
Ummmm its a mouse. Go protest against animal testing rather then nature.

Anyways, my comment:
Bwahahahahaahahahahahahahahaha... no. I didn`t laugh, but I probably would have if it had audio or if I were there. I seemed too set up without the audio to be funny.

The big birdy was just taking the mouse for a ride, right mommy?

The mouse was actually a pet. I saw this video before WITH the audio and it was something like:

"Show us your new mouse!"
"Okay."
"Put him on the cage."
"He`s cute."

BAM.

Anyway, that looked really staged.

Oh and he wasn`t feeding the hawk, he put his pet mouse on top of the cage while he was getting something for him and a hawk came down and got it.
Sorry for so many posts!

Jesus, you`re an idiot.

aww...am I the only one that thinks it`s sad the poor mouse got taken out for dinner. I`m an animal person, I could care less if it was a person getting killed...people can stand up for themselves, defenseless animals can`t. :-(

I got a kick out of the disclaimer: "Warning - animal violence" -
as if animals are usually peaceful types, who don`t kill and eat each other on a daily basis.
All they need is a little understanding, and we can stop all this violence!

That`s a "meal mouse", too. Come on, puts it down, steps back... Swoop, Chomp!

We havea hawk, named Murray, living in my neighborhood. We saw newborn stray kitten walking across the street that he snatched one day.

Looks like a Hawk to me, and I`ve seen pure white pet mice, although I don`t know whether or not that one was a pet.
As for blood and guts everywhere... I`ve never seen a hawk kill something and then have it be all that messy, I mean, if the guts all went flying, that`s less food for the bird lol.
Butcher birds on the other hand... they are kinda creepy. Someone should put up a butcher bird tree on iam, that`d have some interesting comments...

Hmmm somethings wrong with that. psyfive said white mice are more than likely feeder mice, come to think of it yeah thats right and the feeder mice to snakes are usually that big.Unless he wants to take the mouse out for fresh air and sun (which near a window inside would be fine) then I don`t see a reason to take it outside...and why did the camera pan out just before the Hawk came in? the shot it had was fine...something seems amiss to me. Anyone else?

HAHA LOL LOL that was AWESOME! Obviously they knew that there were hungry hawks in the area and they wanted to see a mouse eaten! Haha if only they video taped the hawk eating the mouse... blood everywhere... guts... that would have made my day :-)

Yeah...if that was your pet mouse, why would you set it on top of its cage while you`re OUTSIDE? That thing would`ve taken off like a shot if it wasn`t birdfood.

I am pretty sure that the mouse wasn`t a pet. That was a pure white `feeder` mouse. Pet mice are usually white with grey spots or white with brown spots.
I have a friend who has a cage for the mice that she feeds her snake, she says that it is easier to buy three mice at a time and keep them in a cage than to drive to the pet store every week.

i saw this with sound once and the mouse is definitely the pet. the hawk appeared out of nowhere. you can`t fake that kind of surprise.

The cage is for when the mice are not being used. Go to the pet store buy a dozen or so. Throw them in the cage and feed your hawk with them.

Some people are so naive... Having a bet mouse out in the garden = dumb. Having it out on top of the cage and walking away from it = dumber. Having a bird of prey out of its enclosure in eye sight of this mouse = so planned it`s unbelievable!

p.s. mwuahahahaha mouse!!! :-D
