Interesting idea. Could have been better: the lighting, stability of the cone, mixed up rythmn, change of camera angle. Not bad though.

at fist i couldn`t see the ..cone.. and was like...wtf the balls on a string
i can just imagine this guy having a beer with his friend.
" Say Larry, i`ve got this idea that i`ve been kicking around for a while. i want to get a huge plasic cone and roll pretty balls around in it" sounds like some thing one of my acid addicted friends would say.

The force of his throw keeps the balls rotating around the cone, like you know those penny thingys in museums and such? The things you put pennies in and the coin rotates in a circle until it gets to the hole?...Never mind. Its not gravity defing though.

It`s like the orbit of the planets. They are pulled in by gravity, pulled out by centrifugal force. tie ball to string, spin around.
0

Male 19
wow... head seed, its called centripetal force, that`s why the balls are staying up for an extended period of time...

My god, it`s like the world rounded up all the retards and sent them to a single website.

No, not the guy who is in the funnel, but everyone of you tards who pondering how it works.

ahaha very true. We should set up a hippie commune in the safe surroundings of this thread. I can play that song on my 10 year old recorder if anyone cares for a performance.

Female 578
and for all the people wondering how he balls are staying up...
it`s a giant plastic cone he`s standing in, he rolls them around the inside of the cone with precision and practice thus they stay up and roll back into his hands.

oh and by the way if you increase the numer of balls the pressure inside gets higher and outside gets lower so the plastic is pulled outwards which gives it an airplane-wing efect
0
Reply
Male 167
look for all you would be physicians
iz ovbious the force of the ball rotating inside the cone while their going down is c2-g+force of throw as soon as the ball stert going up you divide "c2-g+force of throw" by the angle in which the ball is going up-air resictance. thats simple enough

-Pretty impressive I suppose. But it would be cooler if he did it with chainsaws. Chainsaws on fire. And he would have to balance the cone itself on top of a pedestal that hovers over a water tank filled with hungry sharks. And the sharks would have lasers. Yea, that would be cool. You know, looking back, this wasn`t that impressive. This guy sucks. Douchebag.-

here`s a guy that knows his entertainment.

-B-Hazard, you post too much. I`ve been here since 2003 and I still haven`t hit 1000 posts.-

Juggling traffic cones would not be cooler then this...unless he was juggling 6 of them.

For the physics questions, the balls are rubber, they grip the plastic well. Because of the funnel shape, as they descend they have less distance to travel but gather speed because of gravity.

I want a giant plastic cone, think of all the possiblites...

At the right angle and the right speed you could do this. It rolls back up because it is curved... like if you roll a ball down a hill and there is another hill going up at the bottem, it will go up again before going down. I can`t put it any clearer or my head will explode.
0
Reply
Male 2,057
IS THAT REAL? i mean tht it would fall down the cone, and not roll back up

It was boring at first.. but when he started adding more I thought "wow.. this guy has no life." Yeah, i guess it`s cool, but only cause he can`t hack it without his cone. Juggling traffic cones, which I thought this was gonna be, would have been a lot cooler. Someone find someone doing that! :-)
