To farquaadhnch and Bobbyo: Have either of you considered the possibility that in Australia numbers may be written out differently than in the United States. Remember, there are cultures outside of the United States.

"Umm, what a waste of paper =/ It takes 90 years to grow a box of klenex and look how many pages he wasted on some not-so-cool record"

Shut up you hippy bastard. There`s no such thing as `wasting` paper the same amount of paper gets made no matter who uses it, and it mostly comes from specially designated tree farms, which were planted by man and thus have no local animal population, so don`t bring up that tired argument.

drating bleeding heart piece of poo. the amount of solid wood needed for a box of kleenex could be grown in a month. If you waited 90 years you could make a million boxes of kleenex.

If he can type so well with one finger, and is obviously dedicated, why is he "invalid." And another thing, "INVALID"?????? People are actually seen as being invalid, thats nuts.

Ever heard of a Torah scribe?

They have to write out, by hand, all of the Torah. If they mess up one tiny part, they must start ALL OVER.

At least with a typewriter you can redo one page.

But I have to say, that is one amazing work ethic and dilligence that guy has. Pretty amazing stuff.

Okay.. So this guy was classified as an invalid. Can`t work so he sits typing.... Well Okay. But a man that cannot work can swim for 30 hours straight and tread water long enough to survive the sinking of the titanic... Hmmmmmm

farqua, you are absolutely correct. The "and" should only be used for a decimal point. He blew it. It shouldn`t count. He used bad grammar. Back to the typewriter mate.

In German, all numbers up to a million are written as one word:

neunhundertneunundneunzigtausendneunhundertneunundneunzig (999,999).

Would have required more paper, I should think.

I think they would have at least 5-10 judges, which would still suck.

Also, doesn`t the and only come if the number has a below one decimal (764.345) So it should be nine hundred ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred ninety-nine not nine hundred and ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine... not that I`m trying to say he should start over and do it correctly because that would be stupid and he should get the record regardless.

I`m still pretty impressed that someone could be so devoted to doing such a task. I applaud him and his good work.
