    Maybe it`s the crappy quality.
Maybe it`s the fact that this isn`t really my kind of music.
Or Maybe it`s the several comments at the bottom saying this isn`t done right.

but it just didn`t hold my interest too long.

I`m not generally a fan of calling things "old" when they`ve only been around for a couple of years. But geez, come on, this has been around from before I was born.

If I hear another person say they`re going to do something rash they probably won`t do if they hear another person say something.

I`ll tape cheetos to my fingertips, put an orange peel in my mouth, and run in my 7 y/o sister`s room flailing my arms and screaming.

for example: in the first scene, when dorothy is balancing on the fence post, you hear the lyrics "and balanced on the biggest wave" right after, she falls, and you hear the lyrics "you race towards an early grave"...i`m still looking for more. but you actually have to think about the actions and the lyrics for this to mean anything. don`t expect somebody to hand you the answers...

But yknow - I saw an interview with Pink Floyd on the 100 greatest albums (British show) And they said it was complete rubbish ;) It is quite interesting though how that announcement at the beginning mentioning time happens to be at the same time as the song Clocks and stuff ;)

I don`t know if they started the album at the right time since it starts out softly anyway, but when I did this in high school it worked GREAT...pause the music, press play on the Wizard of Oz and on the third lion`s roar on the MGM screen play the music. It should be right on cue from then on...and no, I wasn`t on any drugs when watching it, I just thought it was trippy anyway!

"Breathe": Dorothy tightropes along a fence to the lyric "and balanced on the biggest wave."; in addition, the song is entitled "Breathe", and when it comes in they are trying to get baby chicks out of a broken incubator, saving them .from suffocating
"On the Run": Dorothy falls off the fence into the hog pen (causing farm hands to run over and jump in to rescue her) just as the track switches from the calm "Breathe" to the frantic "On the Run."
"Time": Mrs. Gulch`s appearance on her bicycle corresponds with the sounding of bells and chimes at the beginning of this song. Dorothy runs away from home to save Toto to the lyric "no one told you when to run." The song is entitled "Time", as Dorothy arrives at Professor Marvel`s the sign reads "Past, Present, Future".
"Breathe (reprise)": Professor Marvel advises Dorothy to go home to the lyric "Home, home again.&quo

Everyone under 18, tell me an artist with as much TALENT as Pink Floyd! I may be only 20, but I can tell you, Jay-Z, Eminem, Snoop, Avril Lavigne, Ashley Simpson, and other manufactured artists have got nothing when compared to artists like Pink Floyd, (1970`s) Santana, Pearl Jam, and Eric Clapton. In 50 years, these guys, and not Eminem, are still going to be played and remembered. Let`s see if I have the talent to rap like M&M: "yo, yo, yo, wasssssssssssup"! Alright, someone give me an MTV Award (sponsored by Pepsi, "helping hip kids feel socially accepted since Erkel was too")! Also, the things 1970`s artists sang about - sex, drugs and R&R - are the same things they sing (term used VERY loosely) about today, except today, it`s so much more obvious! Maybe they realise that people these days don`t think as much, so they have to spell it out to them. People, listen to stuff that actually makes you think! Don`t have your intelligence insulted by today`s medi

if you`re ever going to talk down on rap, you`ll have to use a better example than Eminem. He`s the one of the best rappers there is/been, and despite what you say that takes talent. If you don`t think so, go ahead and film yourself rapping like eminem and send it to me. I garuntee you`ll be the next `Middle Class White Rapper` clip everyone is making fun of on here.

This has been around the internet since the dawn of time! LOL. However, it`s pretty fantastic to watch. This is a great site I found years ago http://members.cox.net/stegokitty/dsotr_... with tons of comparisons, and lyrics that fit the movie. It`s better watching the movie after you`ve read them, especialy if you aren`t so familiar with Pink Floyd. Some comparisons are freaky and incredible, some not as much so. Use your own judgement. I`m sure there will be much hot debate in the IAB comments. Regardless, it is pretty amazing how well the music itself syncs up, whether or not the lyrics do too.

They messed the sync up. Music is supposed to start on the 2nd(or third?) roar from the lion. If you are dissappointed find another site that has the correct version. When "Money" starts is the best. The song starts out slow and when it gets faster and faster the movie goes from black and white to color. Also, when the tin man is tilting over and going to fall on the yellow brick road, the music makes a fitting sound.

Third. This was the only one I could find which was longer than one song.. If anyone else finds a better one, plz post. (I don`t have the movie)

""it was long, boring and that music is awful"

    "hey, brutalnz
ur a dip$h1t...musical taste is totally subjective and ur an utter moron for insulting others taste in music"

"umm...did you not just insult his taste in music?""

Shush.. They don`t like it when you point it out.. :p

    1. How can anyone say "Dark side of the moon" sucks?? You are showing inexperience or your stupidity.
    2. Yes there are TONS of syncs.. It really gets going with the "
touch and see" lyrics. dorothy touches, looks, and "touch(es) again"
    3. Pink Floyd has never acnowledged that they purposley wrote the album to sync, so it must have been some amazing coincident! Which IMHO makes it that much more cool.

-B-hazard you never did name a modern talented artist that hasn`t past through a "hit factory" styled studio-

...was I supposed to? I didn`t dissagree that mainstream artists today are sellouts. My point was Eminem isn`t talentless.

And to answer to your quote here:
I don`t listen to the jist of the stuff that plays on the radio because those are songs designed to make money. If I was to name off some talented rap artists that haven`t passed through the `hit factory` they`d be underground and you wouldn`t know who the hell I was talking about anyway.

Now let me contradict your stupid point with an intelligent one.
Why`d you point out that I hadn`t named off any artists when that clearly wasn`t my point in the first place. If you were going to respond to me why didn`t you say anything about what I actually said? Is it because you don`t know if eminem has talent or not? because, just like most every person that claims rap sucks, you don`t take the time to listen to anything good and base your negative opinions on the music designed to sell?

Sex, Drugs, and Fancy Sh*t. That`s what sells, bud. And as long as it sells, that`s all you`re going to see on MTV. And as long as it sells, the talented artists that actually have something to say are going to stay underground and you won`t know who they are. And as long as it sells, douchebags like you are going to continue talking down on something they have no idea about and I`m going to feel the responsibility to say

    STFU

Right..if you don`t like Pink Floyd (I`m not really into them but I respect their musical ability) that`s fine - but theres no need to go moan about it and go `OH THAT WAS SOOO CRAP!` just don`t watch it if you don`t like Pink Floyd. Surely it`s simple?
It`s only a fun little urban myth thing that seems to strangely work(imo) no need to go all serious about it! x

    ^^^ Right on, scrounger

B-hazard I know it may not have been your point but you were replying to someone else`s post and they laid down a challenge that you didn`t respond to... that was my point. I am not someone who puts down rap, I may not listen to it but I can reconise the fact that some rappers do have skill in thier craft and even some people who scratch records for a living.

Talent speaks for it`s self, if I have heard of an artist that hasn`t past through the "hit factory" it will be due to their talent. Artists today who don`t do the hard yards and have everything gift wrapped (stylised and marketed in pop culture jelly moulds) don`t really interest me. Make up your own mind. I think that swearing and being abusive to people off shows someone to has deficient communication skills.

First off I`ll correct myself by saying when I made the big ass rant at the top here I thought you were the guy talking about eminem. So you can basically disregard all the stuff talking about you bitching about rap, though that`s still my stance on that whole topic.

As far as me not not responding to a `challenge`. I quoted a specific line or two from his post, that`s what I was acknowledging, nothing else.

And the only part where I cussed was when I was confronting ignorance (i.e. I thought you were the guy talking down on rap without knowing jack) again, you can ignore that being directed at you. Just a little confusion on my part.

For those controversial people out there, Rap is catered to the lowest common denominator (if you don`t know what that is, look it up. if you don`t know what i mean, get an education). Rap exists because EVERYone can do it. totally restriction-less (unless your mute). For people who can`t sing/ play an actual instrument.
and for talent in wordplay, read a book. ffs.

I believe this point is proven time and time again. I do believe there`s a TV series out there called "Con", where some white boy with no past experience in this joins some rap competition on spring break... and wins. Of course, he did some social engineering, but he creamed the competition, and I stand by my point.

I`m so fed up with MTV and the general attitude of today`s young generation.

Good music is out there, but I keep getting disappointed by someone selling out... MTV sucks.

    THIS is real music.

Who cares if it`s "real" music. The point is the correlation between the film and the song (which I can`t really see).

If you want to bitch about all this musical crap, in which NONE of your views are factually correct (they are all opinionated views), then f*ck off to the music forum.
