I have to say, I`ve seen fainting goats in person..They never cease to amuse. And for all those hard core animal rights activists out there, no goats were harmed in the making of this film. pff.

KMeTG, im not offended, im just wondering why in the world you brought that up. they werent killing the goats, they were scaring them. what does that have to so with people chopping off animals heads?
and damurfdog, you need to lay off the drugs. so does the person who told you that pile of crap. these goats fell on their back and got back up. get over it.

I`d put this in a spoiler but they`ve stopped that stuff for now. So anyway, WARNING: VERY GROSS.

I saw a clip the other day of a couple of guys leading a single goat into an enclosure, and in one stroke they chop it`s head off with a big drat-off knife. The body immediately falls over, still kicking, and sprays blood everywhere, and they chuck the head away. And a similar clip shows a guy carrying a chainsaw, chasing a pig around a barn. In the end he catches the pig and hacks it`s head off. The headless pig kicked for a couple of minutes while the guy brandished the chainsaw and laughed like a maniac.

Don`t bitch to me if you`re offended. Didn`t I tell you they were gross?

There`s so many amusing posts in this thread...

-like peeing yourself so that you dont have to run away from anything on a full bladder.. or something.-

That`s originally a self-defense made to move whatever away because you`re squirting and urine stinks.

-stupid scientist dont know what they`re messing with. they`re tryign to play God and thats not what science is for...-

Hippy

-I thought this said scared ghosts-

It does.

-um........you guys know that when a goat flips over on its back it dies, right?

Didn`t find it very amusing-

For those that haven`t looked it up, this is indeed a genetic mutation. Originally they were bread as a stop gap measure by farmers so that if their livestock was attacked, some would instantly straglle, and be left for the attacking animals. Sorta a throw a few out so the mass servive kinda thing. Now they are indeed being studied.

Though I disagree with kitty. It`s not so much scientists trying to play god as understanding genetic defects and how they are born into the DNA strand. PRetty much answering this would allow scientist to begin understansting a lot of in the womb genetic anamolies, thus presrbing things possibly as simple as diet changes to a pregnant mother that would stop or reverse a mutation. I understand people fearing lion pig hybrids, but looking at the evidence, it`s sad to see every person see genetic expiraments and go OMG God Hax!

they faint. but only for a couple seconds. it`s in their genetic makeup. it was a bad mutation, and the scientists started breeding them like that so that they had a whole bunch of them that would faint when they scared them. they want to study them and see if they can come up with a way to change what kinds of qualities they can decide before birth. the fainting is just a characteristic to test to see which ones do it and which ones dont when they`re bread with other goats. stupid scientist dont know what they`re messing with. they`re tryign to play God and thats not what science is for...

And how does that work in their advantage? I`d have thought reflex actions when we`re threatened would work to our advantage; like peeing yourself so that you dont have to run away from anything on a full bladder.. or something.

These goats are one of the speacies of goats(Forget the name) no other types of goats do these. These are exclusive to the south in America. These goats when threatened just get there muscles tightened and they fall over. It doesn`t hurt them what so ever. They get up in a few short min.

Its funny as hell though.
