b-hazard = wrong
if the guy was going to make a fake video, he would have made it so the dog threw it further. also, i`d like to see a guy who can edit something that appears live on letterman with an audience.
Watch the dog`s PAWS, when he catches the ball, he jumps at it. When he throws it, his paws stay on the ground. If you can`t understand that, its ok, other smart people will tell you what to do with the rest of your life. But quit being so quick to judge, you`re missing important information.
You are suffering from the most human of ailments, an inability to accept that you are wrong. You`d better get over it, I assure you, it will happen again.
However the small clip does have a certain `fake` quality to it. The throws are carried out a bit too perfect and seamless.
I could go either way.
1) Video played backwards looks like it`s being played backwards.2) Faking stuff is hard.3) Why would you fake this? Just to impress strangers on the web for 10 seconds?4) It`s obviously real.
Not all breeds have overbites. Dogs can have level bites, scissor bites, underbites, overbites. I have Australian Shepherds which have Scissor bites. The video does look odd but I believe the dog is usuing it`s teeth and pinching it to the owner... one of those odd dog tricks, probably something the dog picked up on its own and the owner just fined tuned with reinforcement. It`s definately possible though.
now, maybe the frame-rate`s low enough to make things look a little off kilter, but i`d wager that if this was higher quality there`d be no doubt that it`s real.
thanks for your permission.
If you really look at the video you can tell that it isn’t being played backwards.
When my dog gets a hold of a ball he flips it out of his mouth into the air so he can catch it again. I didn’t teach it to him, he just does it naturally. If I were to work with him a little bit I would be able to teach him to throw it to me.
Some dogs are quite smart, some are stupid. Just like humans.
Actually I`m a trained audio post production engineer. I`ve done a lot of video and film work. Believe me, I know what an edit looks like. But of course you don`t have to believe me.
ok all together now...1...2...3...Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I guess you didn`t read my explaination then. Here it is again. The toss at the beginning happens 4 times without an edit or cut. -
Oh. So I`m assuming you have as much experience as his movie making friend, right?
all the dog has to do is jerk up his head and open his mouth and voila, the ball is in motion.
think of it this way, if you are holding a ball between your hands, jerk your hands upwards and open your hands, you would have effectively tossed the ball right?
on second thought, if people couldn`t conceptualize how the dog tossed the ball in the first place, us trying to explain it probably won`t help either =P
at least they`re having fun
I guess you didn`t read my explaination then. Here it is again. The toss at the beginning happens 4 times without an edit or cut. There is your proof that its not backwards.
dogs have an overbite. as far as I know that can`t make their front teeth meet in such a way to propell it forward. More like it would shoot downward.
I can`t see how people are so convinced with an edited video. The only person who`s made a credible point is NyQ with the position of the guys hands, I can`t explain that. But I`m not so much into movie editing that I would be able to. I`d be more convinced if I saw an unedited version (Convenient how his `friend is a filmaker` so he just had to edit the film, but they can`t just put up an unedited one for the sake of proof) until then, NyQ`s the only person I submit to. The rest of you are making comparisons of dogs to humans...that just doesn`t make sense.
I agree with NyQ, why, whenever something is posted here, is there always an arguement over its authenticity? The dog is using it`s bottom jaw to flip the ball upwards. You can do it too. Stick a small ball between your teeth, and bite down on it in such a way that its propeled forward. Its not that difficult to see how the dog does it. Oh, unless you are retarded.
sometimes people are so skeptical to the point of stupidity...really, with all the amazing things that happen everyday, is it really so hard to believe that a dog can throw a ball?
animals dial 911, but no one questions that
the dog positions the ball at the front of its mouth and uses the torque at the end of his mouth to lauch the ball back to the guy...
for instance, if you put a rubber ball on the end of the spoon, you would not have to move the handle of the spoon much in order to create enough force to lauch the ball out of the spoon
That`s not to say it`s good because the man is acting in a way that when it is played backwards, he looks like it`s being played forwards - quite a skill. There are people who do whole videos backwards that look like it`s just a normal film.
BeeboThe Cat What Has Facial Hair
Looks real enough to me, and the dog is cute :D
Regardless of the clips orientation the ball will still have to get back to the man. Hence why either way the clip is played the Dog throws it back.
Note: there is enough passes in the beginning of the clip (without an edit) to rule out any backwards special effects.
Yeah. That`s why I was saying he`d have to be `blowing` or pushing it with his tounge.
And that picture looks like you just poured out some cereal and found out there`s no milk. I have to say I hate when that sh*t happens.
And please, for the love of god. Just one day without posting videos that come with the `is this real` aspect.
it brings around all the smart people that are too good to read previous comments.
A lot of the time you see these videos and the dog`s all straight-faced...but this one`s so happyyy :D
