It`s funny that people who are 13-17 claim to remember this song... I guess they must have re-run it for a while?

They actually showed stuff like this to kids in the eighties? And it was supposed to be educating? I`m amazed that those who were children back then didn`t become total psychos.

The videogames they played were crazy, too. A yellow creature running around in a closed room eating strange pills? Damn, talk about bad role model.

why`d they go up to twelve? Usually when teaching kids to count, at least in my experience, you go up to multiples of 10.

You know what I think? I think the hippies that made this smoked some weed and stared at a clock for too long, got an idea for an `educational` cartoon, dropped some acid, and went to work.

That scared the Hell out of me. How did you guys learn from that? Just shouting random numbers, and then holy poo! you learned how to count to 12? Weird...

My Mom swears I learned to read from watching Sesame Street...I read a short Care Bears book to my day care teacher when I was two :)

Wow... I remember that so vividly. Funny, it didn`t seem so f*cked up when I was three. ^_^

My favorite Sesame Street bit was the "I`m an Aardvark" song, and the plant-killing hippies ("Cool, man. Plants need water!").

Definitely a nice remix... I remember it from the late 70s (born in `72)... I feel so old - when "Saturday Night Fever" came out around `78, I had the album "Sesame Street Fever" - a great parody! Can`t wait to have kids and have an excuse to be singing those songs again! Oh what is the letter we love, what sound are `specially we fond of? It`s not any trouble you know it`s a "W" when you hear wuh wuh wuh WUH!

That was the Pointer Sisters singing... and speaking of Sesame Street, does ANYONE who was a child of the 70`s (I know, I`m soooo old!) remember an orange that sang opera or am I insane?

Male 251
Heh, I remember that! Looks like this was a compilation of some sort, as the actual segment is much shorter (about a third as long) and only "stars" one number (the number of the day, you know, the one Sesame Street was brought to you today by).

Still, this is a cool piece of nolstalgia.

I was bornded in the 1980`s but I`m more of a 1990`s child... (I was bornded in 1989) I remember this, not from sesamy street (although I remember the big yellow bird, and cookie monster) I used to work in a toy shop, and
they kept repeating the same tracks over the intercom, like 12 or so different songs (which I learent in my 2 weeks of work experience) this was one of them. I can fully repeat it without it being played to me!
