    I was bornded in the 1980`s but I`m more of a 1990`s child... (I was bornded in 1989) I remember this, not from sesamy street (although I remember the big yellow bird, and cookie monster) I used to work in a toy shop, and
    they kept repeating the same tracks over the intercom, like 12 or so different songs (which I learent in my 2 weeks of work experience) this was one of them. I can fully repeat it without it being played to me!

    That voice at the beginning from 1-12 is annoying as hell and i remember it used to freak me out when i was a kid as well, I used to shout at the tv and tell him to be quiet >.<

    It was on Dutch Sesame Street too. Late seventies I thought. I somehow still remember it very vividly. Glad to see that it is to be considered a golden oldie!

    Children of the 1980`s??? Man, I was born in `90 and know this thing! I remember it, not completely, but I remember seeing it before. I`d rather hear this then some of the crap they play today though...

    Heh, I remember that! Looks like this was a compilation of some sort, as the actual segment is much shorter (about a third as long) and only "stars" one number (the number of the day, you know, the one Sesame Street was brought to you today by).

    Still, this is a cool piece of nolstalgia.

    What was with the random shouting of numbers....? It CONFUSED me!

    Definitely a nice remix... I remember it from the late 70s (born in `72)... I feel so old - when "Saturday Night Fever" came out around `78, I had the album "Sesame Street Fever" - a great parody! Can`t wait to have kids and have an excuse to be singing those songs again! Oh what is the letter we love, what sound are `specially we fond of? It`s not any trouble you know it`s a "W" when you hear wuh wuh wuh WUH!

    Wow... I remember that so vividly. Funny, it didn`t seem so f*cked up when I was three. ^_^

    My favorite Sesame Street bit was the "I`m an Aardvark" song, and the plant-killing hippies ("Cool, man. Plants need water!").

    why`d they go up to twelve? Usually when teaching kids to count, at least in my experience, you go up to multiples of 10.

    You know what I think? I think the hippies that made this smoked some weed and stared at a clock for too long, got an idea for an `educational` cartoon, dropped some acid, and went to work.

    Teeny Little Super Guy!!! I remember on Sesame Street for the number of the day they would numbers poppig up everywhere and at the end the giant number would emrege from the swimming pool and all the children were screaming

    They actually showed stuff like this to kids in the eighties? And it was supposed to be educating? I`m amazed that those who were children back then didn`t become total psychos.

    The videogames they played were crazy, too. A yellow creature running around in a closed room eating strange pills? Damn, talk about bad role model.

    am i the only who notice that when they had the trolleys or wahtever thy`re called shoot the ball to the golden gate bridge the plate form they were on was a rainbow, you know san fransico, raqinbows, put 2 and 2 together
