that is the link to the Mank Blog...a segment on NBC`s TV show Dateline. He says that the simpson video is made by Fox (Rupert Murdoch...damn you!) to advertise SKY TV, a british television channel. We`ve all been suckered. Just go to the link and watch the two minute video. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11648306/

This was awesome! They got down a lot of the details right, it`s almost accurate although the part with the baby being put in the shopping bag isn`t there but you can`t have it all I guess. They should`ve made this a real live action movie like they did with The Flintstones and that could be the intro of the movie.

What’s lame is jumping on a typo, which everyone on this forum does at one time or another. There was no mistaking your lack of understanding of roman numerals however. Even if you were “exaggerating” the proper placement of the Xs, theVs and the Is (which I highly doubt), how does that highlight the “lameness” of a sporting event?

Grow up honey!

Why the Hell does just about everything on this damn site eventually begin to boil down to Americans vs. Brits with a few shots at Canadians and assorted Aussies? Its really quite sad if you ask. We`re here to view clips people put up, not argue about cultural activities in the comments section of a live-action Simpson`s opening sequence. Jesus.

"We used regular actors, not so much for their resemblance - as you can`t copy a bunch of yellow characters - but becuase you can easily identify with them." A balding actor plays Homer as he leaves work dropping some nuclear waste out of the window on the way home. While a baby girl copies the scene where Lisa appears to be driving Marg’s car.The opening montage ends with the whole family squeezed on the settee ready to watch the cartoon version of the show.

that is the article from the sun

MAKERS of the hit cartoon The Simpsons have a filmed the show`s opening titles using real actors. In the hit viral going around the world we get to see what Bart, Homer, Marg, Lisa and Maggie would look like if they were humans. And you can be among the first to watch the hilarious titles, filmed over 18 months in Britain, by clicking one of the links below.(you cant i know)
The clip re-enacts the title sequence to a tee beginning with the camera zooming into a schoolroom to see a blonde Bart scribbling lines on the blackboard. Simpson’s maker Matt Groening has approved the human version of the show’s opening credits to promote the brand new series. Sky One will broadcast the promo as its viewers gear up for the The Simpson`s 17th season which begins on March 20. An insider said: "We`re really excited about it.....

Durrr manorrd, the exaggeration of the roman numerals was to highlight the lameness of the whole superbowl, oh and like many other canadians on here you`ve made a spelling mistake. The word you are trying to spell is butchering not buthchering. Spelling is something we learn well before the age of 8.

ok, that really didn`t look very british. people here just DON`T dress like that here.

plus `marge` looked quite european. Also, homer sits on the left (ie. driving on the right) while marge sits on the right (ie driving on the left.) So they`re in different countries? WEIRD. France have yellow rear number plates too. And drive on the right. plus, homer didn`t chuck the nuclear rod into his coat, then out the window, and bart didn`t nick the bus stop sign. Which is poo, if you ask me. If you`re gonna do something, do it properly. I don`t see why they missed those bits out.

someone linked me to this the other night, and is it me or does bart look younger than lisa in this clip? he looks about 6.

but yeh cool and come to think of it as people have been suggesting i guess it is a lil odd seeing it in real life for once, but it`s only an equivalent they don`t have to be exactly like them. but bart should look older and lisa should be a lil smaller. yeh. good stuff woo sky one!

Why do some people get offended so easy? Who cares where it was made as who cares if the brits made it. Carparasment is a word I`ve never heard and once you cromulent you gotta admit your just trying to sound smart, but thers nothign wrong with that so thers no need to fight over it. The clip was awsome though.

Oh the irony of sneering at nation about their intellect then buthchering the basics of roman numerals...something that most schoolchildren learn by the time they`re eight.

Anyway, cool intro. I missed Maggie going into the grocery bag though.

Yes, it was done in England, hence Marge being sat on the right side of the car, but I didnt notice that, I noticed the car license plates being the English style ones, heh, and no it`s not 100% dead on every action, but that would`ve been far too difficult to get perfect really.

That was amazing and very well done, so don`t get me wrong but there is just something unsettling about this video…. I can’t explain it very well but I think I would have preferred not to have watched this. See now whenever I watch the simpsons I’m going to think about this specific portrayal of them in real life, which is different than the way I have imagined what it looked like. It that takes away that ‘unknown’ which makes watching more....er …comforting I guess?.... yes I know this sounds crazy and it most likely is, but does anyone else feel like that?
