Wanna congratulate you man. It was really good, I wish I had the patience to do something like that. I`ve no trouble getting the ideas for movies but when it comes down to it, I can`t get it on paper.

Good for you on getting laid as well. It`s always a bonus!

My name is Russell Wyner, I made this video for an independent study last Spring. I filmed, directed, and editted it. Two of my friends are the actors.
A fellow DJ at my college radio station told me he saw this video linked here so I checked it out. Thanks for all your comments. Now to answer your questions:
1) Don`t worry. I still have time to get laid. I got laid this morning.
2) I made this entirely in iMovie, though I do use a lot of Flash and Final Cut.
3) First I listened to the song and imagined what action would go to the video. Then I mapped out how many frames I had to do it. I filmed short clips of them jumping repeatedly and in post editting I found each still frame that lined up best.
4) 10 seconds of video took about 2 hours to film and 8 hours to edit, so one hour of work per second of video (not bad for animation). The part where he turned red took much longer to film. You may notice that it starts off snowing but ends sunny.

I can do that WITHOUT using stop motion. But I don`t like to brag about it...

I`ve tried to do this in the past and I think it`s quicker just to get all the photos instead of shooting a video and then selecting one frame at a time. It`s better if you get as much as possible in shooting instead of arsing around in editing because if it doesn`t work then you have to do it again.

Also, when they`re fighting and one guy gets punched and flies back, (they`re outside, he`s the one who turns red), while he`s flying back you can see in a couple of frames the shadow of the cameraman. So it`s not quite perfect but it`s bloody good all the same.

So are you, CuBaNb01. So are you :)

I think they filmed a solid video and then just cut out the parts. It would be a lot quicker to make that way. The longest part would be editing, and that wouldnt even take -too- long. But they did do a pretty damn good job.

i hate it when people say that they dont have lives, when people do these types of things then they obviously have a passion for wat they do or else they would find some meaningless dumb thing to do,

That.... was.... AWESOME!!! That really must`ve taken, like a trillion-billion-gazillion-specified unit of time just to get everything right. If it was for a project, I would so A+ them. Seriously.

I believe it`s a lot easier to jump and take a pic than to take a pic and edit out a solid object from each picture... But that`s just me.

Anyway, that was wicked cool!

i don`t know if it`s so much of them not having a life, as it is them doing a project for a college film class. because, it looks like they`re on a campus, and it looks like they`re college age students.

very good though.

i dont think they jumped- a lot of the time it looked like they were standing/sitting on somethings moving, then they edited it out, but im not very good with these types of things

"Woah...the amount of time and effort put into that leads me to belive those two dont have much of a life. But...it was good...i hafta hand it to them."

Haha, well not necessarily. It said it was filmed at some university, it may have been a big final project for a filmmaking or animating class or something.

I Think they took video where he juse kept jumping and they never stopped filming. Then they just had a really good editor(like me) cut out all the parts where he lands and jumps again.

i think they used iMovie and Macromedia Flash.

They only took one picture of him in the air, then animated it in flash (so it appears as if he is moving). Then put it into iMovie.

When the guy is flying backwards, it seems that they wouldn`t just have to take the picture at the right moment, but they would also have to jump into the air in the same pose over and over
