I have a bad feeling about that. It`s almost as if they`re saying most teenagers are violent, mean punks. Kids could be discriminated against.

People, this IS true, there was a report on the BBC about it, and they played this sound. It hurts, like a whining croaking. Sorta like scrpaing fingernails on a blackboard

Its probebly used for Clubs or bars(if its ture) and another thing its pretty much impossible for your computer to play it because the lowest normal Subwoofers(meant for low frequency) can take is 20khz and thats the BEST one... my $300 logitech ones can only do 29-33 khz

This + Explosive Materials = Payback.
You would stop buying them after a while if you had to replace them every week.

These are the dumbest idea. You should need a permit to use it or something. I remember one day I was going into deli and I heard this loud sound. My ears actually started to HURT. So I was like WTF? I went up to some guy and said do you hear that and he said no. It got bad, so I left. I went back the next day and saw some little girl crying and her mother look really pissed.

What if you live next door to a place that has these? Imagine, being 13 years old, trying to do homework with this noise in your ears all day.

But if it`s for shoplifters what are they going to do about the old shoplifters? And that would be really annoying to the good kids.

Oh, and GO CCKEANE! Lol!

Noting that the acronym of this device is STD (same as sexually transmitted disease), I was inclined to think it was a joke, but, I googled it (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&... and sure as poo, there it is!

Think we can make one that attract women, even against their will? ;-)

Ummmm, i dont think thats fair, im a perfectly nice person (and 14) so if i wanted to go to the shop why should i have to put up with it? Its a good idea, but i guess discrimination and stereotyping too, neways.....

lets weigh our options shall we?

Sonic thing = $1100_____Mindless Violence = free
you decide

although most of us would say neither

^That still happens here in Arkansas...

I`m pretty sure that those will not catch on in my home town, for one I don`t know of any business that has the money to splurge on one of those.

I also see future law suits coming out of this. Someone is going to say this messed up there kids hearing just to try and make some money.
