If it doesn`t work for you, go to www.litracon.hu.

The site is temporarily shut down but you can still see a pretty neat picture on that page.

It`s not creepy. Basically it`s just concrete with thousands of little glass fibers in it, which is what makes it translucent. Even if you were to build a house out of it, all you would have to do to preserve your privacy is put the lamps along the wall instead of in the center of the room, which is what most people do anyway. As long as the light is between you and the wall, and you`re not between the wall and the light, people won`t be able to see your shadow from the outside.

And to whoever made the "glass houses" comment, what they say about people who live in glass houses is that they shouldn`t throw stones, meaning that people shouldn`t be critical of others without examining their own behavior patterns for similar actions first...so I`m not sure how it applies.

thats totally awesome! Girls bathrooms of the future will be equipped with this concrete, and of course the guys bathroom won`t because of the new breed of terrorist: basically, the gays.

wow no privacy then? the main advantage i see over glass is strength. well i guess it`s just a shadow, but yeh...
and metter nobody gets ur terrible pun.
by the way to those who can afford it, the point is you don`t need to use electricity as much and i`m sure you can afford electricity, hence making it obselete? prove me wrong someone.... no i`m not being roostery i just want to see if anyone has anything against my view.

I`ve seen it used in some of the newer clubs around here. Especially in the bathrooms. Risque, but gimmick-y. It`s a neat idea -- letting in natural light while still having privacy.

As chester and lola say, could be used in construction to break up a monotonous wall, etc., you know, for nice architecture. But I wonder about its strength? Cool, though. :-)

pointless, but it;s not seethrough
just transparrent (let`s a little
light through), if it was see through
then you would see the person.
