There was this one guy running by the stage right after the animated part. That was pretty funny.

I also liked how Jeniffer Gardiner (however you spell her name) tripped on that overtly long oscar dress. "I do my own stunts"... ha ha...

I would venture to guess that the voters were just as divisive as the U.S. during the last presidential election.

I`m sorry if you don`t agree with me, but King Kong deserved all those visual/audio/tech awards. I also think that "It`s hard out here for a pimp" deserved the best song. I disagree with the best supporting actor category, but I always do. I think they gave Best Actress to Reese because that is the only Oscar worthy role she is going to get, ever. Best actor was also the right choice.

If you liked BBM, I don`t care. It didn`t deserve the acting oscars because the ensemble over-acted to the extreme (well, not as much as the lot from Crucible, but that`s another story). BBM may have been a good movie, but not worthy of more than it got. I am really glad they played the better version of the song overly used in the BB clips on the internet.

that opening was really bad. I`ve never laughed at John stewart once and this was no exception. Billy Crystal`s opening was great the year before last and chris rock is pitiful. He`s just really not funny. Anyways. George Clooney did not deserve to win that oscar it was all paul giammati why can`t he get a break. All oscars should just be given to Paul Giamatti in future. that`s me done.

if there`s a movie that deserved more oscars this year, that would be king kong. peter jackson`s remake is completely awesome and he really put in the right touches on almost every scene, (no matter what critics say about how long the movie was).

wonder what his next project will be...

Oh, that was a really cool opening to the show, they started really well.

It`s a shame they f.u.c.ked up the awards though. Brokeback Mountain was at least twice as good as any film the last year, one of the greatest movies ever made, and they give it 3 freakin awards? The Oscars are so out of touch it ain;t even remotely amusing.

I don`t see why stars get rewards and free stuff ( the gift bag things) for something they have fun in doing and get paid millions for it and get fame. Maybe it`s just becuase I`m a nobody.

...not that I have anything against sound editors. I`ve been a sound editor myself. It`s just I don`t care to listen to speeches by techies. They usually just aren`t interesting.

Watching the Oscars is a wonderful use of Tivo. I was able to not only skip commericials, but also all those montages, boring songs I didn`t know, and speeches by sound mixers and the like. It compressed the show to about 1 hour.

I thought Jon Stewart was awful... I ended up actually turning it off because of him. And that is sad.

The audience too good for Jon Stewart? Nonsense. If anything, Stewart is too good for them.

John Stewart is one funny dude. That was a good opening, I liked his little dance that he did next to George Cloony.

B-Hazard there have always been gay guys in Hollywood. Its just that they were forced to hide it. Rock Hudson comes to mind for one. He was painted as the all macho American hero....fishing, shooting, Doris Day...and all the time he was after a bit of bum fun!
