I love these sort of things.

They interest me a lot, although, I had to admit that they made me a bit queasy.

Progeria. "World-wide approximately 36 people are known to have this disease."

Wow, there was actually one in my highschool. She didn`t make it past graduation, though. Strangely, she looked just like the one shown in the hat. As I recall, she was also about 4 feet tall. And, no, I`m not making this up.

**You`re disgusted.
Sorry for posting again, but I also don`t think the link should be removed, but a MUCH better warning and an explanation of what a malady is would have been nice.

Oh god...It`s like your disgusted and you want to stop looking, but you just can`t...Now I`m going to be all paranoid about getting one of those diseases, even though most of them are pretty rare. The Harlequin babies freaked me out badly. Also the picture of the food where the whole back heel bone thing (sorry, non-scientific) was totally exposed...Bleh.

i know how annoying it is when people post like 3 or 4 comments on one topic but this is different, there should be a rule that people who post links have atleast i don`t know 150, or 200 posts? so they get a feel for the site.
a lot of people with 1 or 14 posts are posting here, they think it shouldn`t be removed. they have no idea what the rest of this site is like.
how can they say this belongs here?
these noobs have no idea, they pay for membership and post stupid stuff...

REMOVE IT NOW.
FOR ALL YOU KNOW THERE ARE 8 YEAR OLDS ON THIS SITE...

I didn`t know what malady was either. you`re a friggen creep, have you EVER seen material like this posted on this site? NO. maybe you COULD HAVE GIVEN A BETTER WARNING? gross doesn`t even cut half of it.
I also noticed most the people who know what`s going on here are adults, anyone care to explain? plz and thnx.

Plus it shouldn`t say "warning: gross". It should say "Warning: ****ing disturbing" >-(

because saying "ew" is different from going "WTF?!" then vomiting with some sleep loss.

Although I did find Hemmoroids on here more shocking than the Harelequin demon ****ing fetus.

I have to throw up now.

There`s no reason this should be deleted. It kept people from getting bored, right? Also, there was an explicit warning: "gross". People, view things at your own risk, okay? No one shoved any Harlequin fetuses in front of your faces - you went and looked at them. And might I add, those were CREEPY. And the foot with the worm... yeah, those pictures haunted me all day. But it was my choice to look at them! }-)

Haha. I was eating when I was looking at them, but oddly enough they didn`t bother me at all. I don`t think the link should be removed, It did have a warning.
The harlequin pictures were weird, but interesting.

I think things like this are interesting. It makes me bite my tounge when I am about to complain about things like stubbing my toe or getting a migraine. There are worse things out there, I say, be happy it`s not you..

I am refusing to go on this link... I don`t need any of these pictures...

As for removing the link, I think it should stay because it had a warning... so don`t be all pissy about it.

Buruli Ulcers shocked me the most.. i don`t know why as there were more shocking images. I guess it`s because it looks like your skins wearing away

i remember watching a documentary about two harlequin sisters that was really interesting. Most of this I found interesting except any pictures of the groin area- they make me cringe.

Check this out, http://www.10news.com/health/3919722/det...

Someone who SURVIVED with that disease, and is a triathlete. He needs to eat 7,500 calories a day and has to use pure protein to keep up with his skin shedding all the time, but I think he`s okay now.

The site was very educational. I learned several things that I would not have previously known and with the disturbing images, I am sure that I will remember what I have witnessed.

These are real people really suffering and there are great reasons to view this site besides a desire to be “grossed-out”

All in all though, Harlequin Fetuses scare the crap out of me too.

^ The kids you adopt might very well be like those in the pictures. That was very disturbing.

I`ll be honest - i`ve never wanted children but after looking at three things on that list that can result from birth in the child or me - I don`t want kids, I think i`ll adopt.

Yes it was a bit gross but it serves educational purposes as well. I thought most pictures were disturbing (which would have been a better word to use than gross) but for some reason I just kept on scrolling.

A part of me wants to check out the harlequin fetus.... but I dont think I`m that daring.

Why? It says quite plainly "Warning: gross". If you like gross things, or they interest you, then go ahead and click on it. If you don`t, then don`t click on it. If you don`t like gross things and then click on it, knowing full-well it`s gross, then it`s your own damn fault. Taking it off would be much to the annoyance of myself and others, while leaving it on keeps us happy, and the people that don`t like it happy as well, so long as they don`t look at it.

That`s horrifying and sad...but sometime a year ago my friend showed me a link to the malady about smallpox or something without telling me what it was about. Now links to sites like that don`t scare me as much.

That warning could have been a little more specific. Not that stuff like this creeps me out or anything, but I wasn`t expecting it to be that graphic.

For one thing, I didn`t know wtf a `malady` was, lol
