Also, I`d love to know how you came across this page. I may be updating the page soon with some more details about the bar. Stay tuned.

Holy crap, that`s awesome.

tambourine and enohead: I think the reason he bothered making this whole automated bar is because he regularly has alot of people at his house and he doesn`t want to be a host-bartender person. Just a theory though.

It is a good project, but im with Enohead on this one. Much quicker and easier if you do it yourself.

reminds me of airport bars where every bottle is connected to a measuring device so that the bartenders can`t make you a strong drink without charging you more. cheap bastards.

Well, that elaborate construction project would certainly be easier than mixing drinks by hand.

I saw a prototype of a commercial ersion of this back in the late eighties. I think it was on CNN and I haven`t seen or heard of it since. What was shown then used gallon jugs of liquor & mix. The facility was built against a wall with a room behind it with racks for the gallon jugs. In that time the report stated it wouldn`t make bar tenders obsolete but would free them to mix call drinks which would require carbonated fluids and other viscous liquids that this automated system wouldn`t lend itself to. Simple liquor and mixer drinks could be entered by the wait staff of a restaurant. This would provide faster service and more generous gratuities as well.

I noticed in the report that the use of a credit card reader to charge the drink cost was addressed. This wasn`t spoken of in the original report I saw on TV but is a logical progression now.

A friend of mine and I were quite interested back then. I`m glad to see this idea being rethought now and possibly remarketed.

A for effort dude!
I actually prefer either making my own drinks, or having someone else make them for me. But hey, diff`rent strokes for diff`rent folks.

or something.
