This story is simply a work of art. How much agitation this brings can not be told. I am simply blown away by how much writing capability this author has.

"E".

Hmm, i should think that this was a sure-fire hit,
But sadly i dont. Sure, its amazing, but jumping off
a building, or possibly Chowing down on a 15 pound hamburger is more Brain-boggling than this. Hats off to the author of this book, though, you did a good job. I saw this on my tv, it was cool, caught my thought, but not by much. but, now im looking at it on I-A-B, and now i think its just plain cool.

AHA! NO "E"`S!!
:D
Beat that, bush.

That was sweet. And for the person who said that the person has no time on their hands, you`re wrong, because writers WRITE. That`s what they do. And this person experimented with writing. Do scientists have too much time on their hands when they`re making experiments? No, they`re doing their job. So, shut up.

A story with no E`s?

This is not a story, it`s a freakin book! LOL

Too long ... got bored after the first paragraph or two.

Seriously, all you morons with ADD who need constant stimulation--the author was a professional writer, he wrote for a living. He probably wrote this story as a personal challenge, not to make a profit. So stop saying stupid crap like "he needs to get a life lol." And the book was published by the way.

This is my try at doing a full post without that horrid " ". Truly it is hard to finish a book without that button, but look i can do it now, and this was written from 9:22-9:24

I don`t exactly have the patience to read this story, but it is impressive nonetheless. It takes real talent to be able to write a story without the letter "e". Especially since it is the most commonly used letter in the english alphabet.

Again, as many people have said, it was the 1930`s. Plus, some of the greatest books don`t use proper English, it only adds to the feel of the story.

It doesn`t count, he didn`t use proper english on some sentences

Ouch. I don`t want to know how long that took to write. It`s an interesting story though.

oftener isn`t a word (it`s in the intro)...

Also in eighth grade we had to write a story without using `e`. Needless to say, it is quite a task.

Ok, now I`m going to do a post without an E. Not counting that. So, I`m not going to actually read that story, not that I would want to. So, going good so far. I got in a car to go to school today. Isaac quit South Park. I`m gonna miss that guy. So, my birthday was March 21. I had a party. With pop. It took me a bit to do this post. I think South Park is on tonight. A NOT old one.
*sigh* This is a work of genious, and it`s too bad that people really can`t see that. (ahem, "This person had way to much time on their hands.")This was truely a great challenge and shows talent
I think most of the people who claim that someone "had too much time on their hands" are just jealous or annoyed because they don`t have the talent or motivation to do something like this.

And i in right... :)

""I think it`s sad when people have so much time on their hands.
I don`t even think this is gunna get famous and published or anything?
(except on the internet)""

Well it was written in the 1930s (i think) a long time ago, anyway. So i think your point is a bit invalid.. :-)

reminds me of a riddle i solved once- u had to find out why a paragraph was strange, and that was because it had no "e"s in it. I cant live without the letter e, as my name begins with it-go letter e!

"A child don`t know nothing". If you read it again you`ll notice that the poor use of grammar also serves to emphasise the contrast between what the author is saying and the people he is quoting. The people he is quoting are wrong in their opinion and this is highlighted by their poor use of grammar. The grammar used by the author is good grammar, while those quoted do not have good grammar because they are ignorant.

This is amazing! But I would go crazy if I had to do anything this rigorous. I did all of this without using a book of synonyms.
Yay! I did it! B-U-R-N.
But I couldn`t try to form a conclusion on how hard it is to do this for 50,000 words.

Very impressive! Though pointless, I must agree.
