The truth is, everything you ever do on the internet ever can easily be tracked through your IP. Without some serious hacking skills, there`s really no way around it. I simply believe in the power of the masses, in that everyone is openly pirating, and as long as you don`t stand out you can`t be targeted. Some people may get caught, but the f-in RIAA will never end pirating entirely.

If they can find you by searching songs that they care about, and basicly seeing who has them, then what if you just dont share your files?

Same here...I`m in Canada which means that Im out of the jurisdiction of RIAA. The equivalent body in Canada (CRIA) is not pursuing downloaders like in America. They simply got the government to add a tax on CD`s and DVD`s. Since Im paying the tax, that gives me license to record whatever I want!
BTW, that`s Canada`s typical response: tax it until it goes away (or it becomes a cash cow for the goverment)

It`s a wonder RIAA can do this attack on your beloved freedom without getting sued themselves. Doesn`t make sense by me.

What if im using a spacific program such as limewire or ares P2P. I mean that works by hosting file through the softwares network. And also, what if im just sending one file from me to one friend spacifically?

Excelman> I am from Canada 2. and what you say pleases me a lot, I kept thinking the RIAA was after us aswell. Anyway, who ever said you shouldnt share files is completley up the wall, even if your in america, just get a fire wall and/or a router (a router, in my opinion, is much better) and this "MUTE" thing. If everyone stopped sharing then their wouldnt be any point to all this anyway.

Btw, you are forced to share with Bit Torrent and such

PS> I have the newest version of Bit torrent, and I wonder, what happend to that share rating thing?

PPS> If you are frightened by this RIAA use irc, its much faster and safer, it just has fewer results.
