Sweet.

Not long before this, and a few other developments scheduled to show up in the next five years, make our lives that much more introverted.

Go science!

what no one has happened to mention yet is this was made useing the Mac Os X

"In New York, researchers have created a working prototype of an amazing touch-screen interface for a computer that, unlike most touch screens, supports multiple touch points -- or multiple people," Kahney writes. "Running on OS X, the interface is reminiscent of Steven Spielberg`s fictional, gesture-based UI in Minority Report -- but much cooler."

Very intresting indeed, its only a matter of time I belive and technology like this will become the standard form of input, its seems very intuitive and a more natural way to interact.

So far I`m disappointed this only got a 3.1 rating here while some of the other less stimulating links get a considerably higher grade. Frustrating!

It has a variety of uses, including navigating a virtual representation of the human body for medical purposes, solving geometrical math problems, photo editing (like you said), etc. Loading Google Earth onto it was also a great idea. And no, typing wouldn`t be that hard; it`d just take some adjusting.

I first saw this, it reminded me of Cyberspace for some reason. The website is http://mrl.nyu.edu.nyud.net:8090/~jhan/f...

Neat. Seems like it would be good for photo/picture editing. But i can`t see the point in using it for much else. Most games would be impossible to control, and typing on it would be a nice little chore. Plus, you would need a special desk or stand for it, in order to allow for a comfortable work space.

I would really, really love to play a RTS game developed to use that though.. would be very, very nice indeed.

Regardless, until they develop a cure for fingerprints, i wouldn`t use it.
