Hey, doesn`t this sound reminicent of some hacker program?

You know, then kind where it takes a bunch of infected computers and utilizes them to do some sort of work for their bidding?

ANYWAY, I would never do this on windows. Windows has a nasty habit of hogging resources enough as is. Especially Vista, with it report of needing 2gigs just ot run...

i have to agree with natkaz_99.

People are lazy.
i don`t have a car and when i DESPERALY NEED one, i rent one. I walk... EVERWHERE. I hardly ever use the dryers in my building. I recycle every little bit i can.

If everyone did their part we wouldn`t been in such a state as we are now.

</rant that had nothing to do with the post XD >

>>>I`m no Greenpeace hash-monkey, but we need to do something NOW! To the people who refuse to walk to the shops for milk, or who live close to work but drive anyway, who don`t exercise, who leave their engines idling pointlessy, who follow motorsports, who have shares in oil companies, who don`t use public transport, who use dryers instead of clotheslines to dry their clothes, who have a garbage disposal machine, or who drive excessively polutive vehicles "because they have a V8 and sound nice", I hold you people personally responsible for the current environmental problems and those we will encounter in the future.<<<

You sound like a greenpeace hash-monkey.

They don`t make your computer slower, and its highly unlikely it has any spyware in it(unless, of course, the climate change computations are simply a cover for installing spyware).

It works by simply sitting idle on your PC, then, when you leave it alone for a while, and the screensaver starts up, this program starts up instead.

The irony, of course, is the fact that 10000 home computers not going to standby are a LOT more inneficient in power consumption than your standard supercomputer.

Hmmm, I assume that the previous posters all drive big SUVs and live in LA, NY or redneck country. When are we going to realise that this Earth is being stuffed up by people with attitudes like these?

Sound harsh? Prove me wrong, get off your arse and walk, assess if you need a big truck, support public transport and turn off lights when you don`t need them!

What the heck? It harnesses the power of your computer and suppposedly sends it to the company?

I laugh at that.

Yeah, see, I`d really like to help out, as I`m really a big fan of climate change. Or, I`m really pissed about climate change. Whichever sounds more right...

I`m just having a hard time remembering when the last time was that you offered to let me use some of YOUR computer`s excess power. Hmmm. Not ringing very loud bells. Soooo, I`ll pass. But thanks for offering to use my stuff.
