It`s 10 buttons, one of which can be held down and the other 9 are used infrequently. How is that complicated?
There`s no weird joystick-button like any modern fighting game. Only 4 buttons are used with any frequency.
I actually think it`s fun, however, the game flounders with some serious design issues.
The user interface is awkward. Two characters choice of attacks are handled differently from the third character`s attacks. They should standardize the interface for each character, or make the mechanic for each character unique. Mixing and matching is just asking for trouble.
The two characters who utilized the same interface also drew from a common "mana pool". The problem is that they made one characters mana based attacks much more useful then the other character. There was really no reason to waste mana with the second characters attacks.
The game`s documentation is seriously attrocious and a deterrent.
