Why do 4 year olds do anything they do? Because they can. When I was 4 I coloured all the walls in the living room with permanent marker and let my brother cut my hair.

in reply to those who don`t belive why a 4 year old gurl would do such a thing. Well everyone has a differnt personalty.
My 5 year old cosuin is veeery mature for her age. She will correct you if your not polite. Takes care off children her age or younger and very well mind you, and she shares. SO I can piture this little gurl wanting to wright a message in a bottle.
Besides little gurls have quit the imagination and mind. I used ot have such a crush on this older man when I was four. I wsa so hurt when he got married. And yes I was 4.
os like I said this is beliveable

That`s amazing. To get from England to Australia, it would have to have gone all the around Africa or South America or through one of the canals. But talk about "snail mail".

Hey, it`s not pollution if the bottle makes it out!

What a great way to meet people.

Agreeing with Halifax_girl: Why would a 4 year old be interested in doing this?

And the way they described he made her sound older I think? I dunno...

I read the story on skynews.com (UK news site) and they explained that the girl threw it in as did other children from her nursery group - it was just a bit of fun for them all. x

(In response to georgiascool`s question)
The reason a ten year old would be interested in writing to to a four year old is that he was probably amazed that the bottle went that far, and thought tha the sender should know that.
