Im a mafioso for the Mozilla family.

our main competing family right now is the Microsoft family, as we have forged a truce between us and the Macintosh organization.

finally, much to my shock and horror, and after screaming at the top of my lungs to get the other techies into the room,we found a tighly packed compressed package file containing the last 250 or so keystrokes I had input into an email earlier. We also discovered what appeared to be numerical plot point coordinates to the cursor based on a four quadrant X-Y chart (0,0 being the center)followed by a time signature. Here`s what some of it looked like:.....Sincerely%] +|+|+|+|+|+|+You*%`%*re%Friend*%,%*+|+|+|+|+|+|+|+|+|]] MYNAME%HERE%*.*%#;:-----}[-439,011]/[-759,870]\\|[33:47.49582]

So, ya`ll still wanna use Internet Explorer? I think not. For those still loyal to IE, try cliking on a popup ad by accident once, then see how deep into spyware city you get. Unfortunately, I see the dame fate for Firefox in the long run, cuz browser developers got bills to pay, and who better to pay the bills than the internets largest advertising firm? Peace out yall.

and impliment third party cookies and applications with or without your knowledge or approval(check your end user agreement on IE which is imbedded in the program code and not written as a viewable text. One interesting line state "therein by using this program you are agreeing to the terms here in set in this end user agreement",which,in the code, was written as %9/// `....#thereinbyusing--thisprogramyouare*agreeingtotheterms; hereinsetinthisenduseragreement+val....`).With newer versions of IE,these security holes got bigger and easier to infect.I have several computers(someold and new)running IE 3-5.version 5 corrupted so horribly that it was unrecoverable. IE 3 still runs without a hitch. The worst with IE 4 (or its equivalent, theres no exact number)is the occasional popup every ten minutes or so.For some strange reason, after analyzing the code structure of IE5,the program`s size tripled.Discovered in the actual program code(not extensions or linked .dll files)were spyware c

Hello all. Some Info about IE:TimeWarner, owner and proprieter of much of the advertising firms on the internet,in cooperation with AOL(their daughter internet company)works in conjunction with IE developers to create these `security holes`.That`s why IE is chock full of adware and spyware material,it`s intentionally made defenseless to support the advertising(currently a major[though majorly annoying] internet industry).AOL has been running ads claiming to defend against spyware when in fact their parent company(TimeWarner)funds and develops those programs and secretly implements them into the AOL browser as well as the AOL Instant Messenger (a `virus` [really a beta tracking program] hit AIM users last year, in which the `virus` sends a message to one of your friends saying `Hey, look at this link:www.....`, which, after some research, routes to a download php from an AOL server hub. This virus is still around and caught my sibling one day.)In default,IE is set to automatically install-

Uh, Internet Explorer has had tabs for a while...if you have the updates...that`s what I`m using now, and I have a number of pages that just don`t open in firefox. Interesting video, but all these people don`t know IE has tabs too?! Look at the top of my screen shot below the address bar....I do believe those are tabs.

One major problem I have with Firefox is that on most websites, if you scroll down and hit a link, then press the back button, you are sent back to the TOP of the previous page!!! L4M3!!!11
I haven`t run into this problem on IE before!! For this very reason firefox is not on my hard drive at the present time.

I use firefox for many very good reasons.
First I have had to reformat my computer twice because IE let so much spyware through it became unuseable.
Firefox has tabbed browsing. And it has extensions for added functionality, I can do way more with firefox thanks to extensions.
I don`t know which is faster but I don`t really give a damn if ones half a second faster than the other.

I by no means surf the internet my entire life, but when I do, I want a fast, easy, program to help me.

Firefox is that program.

You may call it the love of privacy or the love of having a computer without spyware/adware/malware...

I used to be a IE guy. Then I became a Netscape Navigator guy. Then Netscape was starting to suck and IE made some improvements, so I used that for a few years again. Then I found Firefox after a friend told me about the hundreds of security holes in IE might be what`s causing all the problems with my computer...

I stopped using IE and installed Firefox and did a virus scan. I immediately stopped seeing popups, unless I wanted them, and the trojans I deleted where gone. I made the mistake of using IE about 2 months later and all the spyware trojans came back.

IE sucks and you fanboys just don`t realize it because you are too brainwashed by the mainstream to try anything different.

The point that IE 7 has tabbed browsing should tell you something. Microsoft waits for other companies to set trends and copies them, IE Apple Windows = Microsoft Windows, Apple iPod design = Xbox 360, Firefox tabbed browsing = IE 7

IE 7 will still have holes so... no thanks

Ok the guy saying he cant look at his pay check stubs over the Internet with IE is either full of crap or the webmaster for the site has something against Microsoft. I am the IT guy for an internet based company and the truth is, the only thing “secure” about FireFox is the fact that if you’re a moron and don’t know what your doing, it will give you a few more error messages telling you that you’re a moron before you mess up your computer.
And on the “Secure” note, did you know that FireFox supports an add-in that logs key strokes and will report them back to a sub7 server? For “Debugging purposes only” of course, until a hacker changes that…
IE = Full integration
FireFox = Laggy locking piece of crap.

I`ve been visiting imb for about 3 yearsm but I had to sign up for this one.

Anyone who has a clue about spyware, popups, homepage hijackers, and tabbed browsing does nto use Microsoft. This was filmed in NYC`s Washington square park but it`s not all students though.

Also, the third person (Tall skinny dude) is a buddy of mine I work within Manhattan. Shout out to Evan! I actually hooked him on Firefox.

Like someone said on the comments on that site, they could`ve easily received the opposite reply in other areas, even other parts of NY. One man said the university won`t let you access certain things with IE, you have to use Firefox. So of course most people around there are going to say Firefox.

I agree that Firefox is better, but that "survey" was highly biased.

you can too remove IE from your comp. All you have to do is open your add/romove programs window in the control panel, select the add/remove windows components tab on the left hand side of the window, deselect internet explorer and viola...buhbye microsoft! Now you too can take part in sticking it to the man!

I use both, but Firefox is my primary browser now. I only use IE if I have to (there are a few sites I go to that require it).

The only thing I dislike about Firefox is that Media Player integration is a little shakey (for when I wanna watch movie clips on I Am Bored. :)

Oh, and while IE does tend to load faster for me, Firefox seems to render faster (unless there`s Java involved and it has to load the Java Runtime Environment).

People who get internet explorer like me like it because its faster to start with ti and keep it that way. People who actually do spend most of their life on the internet, want to surf multiple pages at a time with a sytem that works like Kazaa`s search tabs. I would say it depends on how much time you spend on the computer and how much ads you care about.

Firefox all the way. The tab function is my favourite thing about it, makes it a lot easier to surf several websites at the same time. IE sucks, I only used it like back in 1998 when I first got the internet. But Firefox is definetly the best of the other browsers I`ve tried since then.
