Handy in today`s cash-strapped economy, though I admit, some of those may be an acquired taste to those used to McDonalds and Cocoa Puffs.

Wow, them`s some cheap eats. The only thing will be all the farting from the beans. I couldn`t stand the powdered milk though.

i think it`s a pretty good idea...and if you don`t like the meals, it`s easy to subsitute your own meals. so it won`t be the same prices, but following a meal plan has been proven to save you money.

Yeah it`s easy to feed your family for $45 a week when you eat bread and spinach for lunch. Or one dinner was beans, tomatoes and toast. Sick! Somehow I bet you don`t really get all the nutrients you need with this plan.

My family eats for about $30 a week. Canadian. We shop sales, use coupons, and buy the loss leaders from the various stores.

Hoecakes are corn pancakes. If you`d clicked the link where it says, "hoe-cakes" you`d know that.

i don`t think that menu is all too unusual, especially for many in the south. my family always had trouble making ends meet when i was growing up. for years, all we had was beans, fried potatoes, and the summer, thrown in some fresh veggies from the garden...maybe we`d have spaghetti if dad made a little extra that week. i lived like that for 13 years...i`m 20 now. trust me, it`s doable. ;-)

These meals are actually healthy and do look really good. I`m gonna try it next week maybe and post my progress. Besides, it`s being poor, it`s being wise. This how a lot of people are able to actually enjoy life b/c they know how to spend their money. As you go on, you can learn to incoperate other itme in the $45 budget.

The guy who makes $60 dollars per hour could work 3 hours and feed 4 families, or up to 24 people a whole week

    just by working 3 hours!

What do ya say we play a game called "Robin Hood"

To the person saying "Bunch of damn rich people...
You all make me sick to my stomach", $%^& You. My boyfriend and I have worked hard to get where we are in life. I paid for my education and I went to college so I could afford a better life. You have no right to get angry because people like me worked hard to have a better life.
