YAY FIRST PO- just kidding ;-) anyways, pretty interesting, i never knew that staying in the sun and not using sunblock prevents cancer.....
    (from the article)
"Vitamin D is made by the action of sunlight on the skin, which accounts for 90 percent of the body`s supply. But the increasing use of sunscreens and the reduced time spent outdoors, especially by children, has contributed to what many scientists believe is an increasing problem of vitamin D deficiency."
but then by doing that you increase your chance of skin cancer...kinda ironic

Ok people Skin Cancer is usually brought on by OVER EXPOSURE to the sun. This means people who regularly sunbathe and regularly sunburn. This is becuase when you burn your skin is damaged and the cells that repair the skin damage eventually mutate into what we know as skin cancer. The sun in Moderation is a very good thing, unless of course you are like me and suffer from sever Polymorphous light eruption (I.E Rashes from the sun).

WOW BIG SUPRISE!....not. theres been cures for cancer for quite a while. The only thing is that its natural so it cant be patented and its inexpensive. PLUS a cure for ANY major disease would cost the FDA millions of dollars in treatments.

Rock, there is no NATURAL cure to cancer. Cancer is the mutation of human cells. Which means there are millions of different types you could possibly get. Cancer is a generic term. To cure cancer you would have to remove the cells function to repair themselves or there natural decay rate. Curing cancer is not so much as curing it when it happens but preventing it before it happens. To get rid of cancer currently one can only hope to destroy the mutated cells. There is no natural way to "DESTROY" mutated cells. Despite what you read.

Murder, I wasn`t saying there is a cure for ALL cancer, I was using it, like you said, as a generic term. There are herbs, minerals, and vitamens, among other things, that, when put together, can cure certan kinds of cancer without drugs or surgery. It is more effective to prevent it though, which can be done with alternatives to drugs and surgery also. Thats all I have to say.

Rock you missed my point. Herbs, Vitamins and the such can help prevent cancer, help boost your immune system, help your body heal itself. They do not CURE, they only increase your own bodies resistance and healing. Unfortunately with advanced forms of cancer, such as brain, lung and liver cancer that is not enough. With cancer only destroying the cancerous tissue is the answer. ATM, Herbs and the such have been used for health since the beginning of time. But think about this, only in mankinds recent history with the medical advances is our life span nearing over a hundred. Two hundred years ago a man could only expect to live to be sixty, further back it was much lower. So before you knock modern medicine think that with a healthy lifestyle and MODERN medicine the human lifespan is reaching over a hundred.

What a bunch of crap. When will we learn that these "experts" change their opinions about as often as most people change their socks? They really have no idea what is good for people and what isn`t. This amazing cure-all is probably just fanfare put out by some drug company afraid of losing their already ridiculous profits margin.

Just take a damn multi vitamin already and stay out of the sun. You can usually find it calcium supplements beacuse it`s needed to absorb the calcium properly. Also found in eggs, fish, butter and lots of other stuff!
