OK... my point is that some dork is going to spend his life savings on this crap and end up on the street or something.

And what the hell does being european have to do with anything?

Only a European would say this. Guess we shouldn`t own or risk ANYTHING in life, because it`s too "dangerous." I`m sure, being in Europe, they`ve probably outlawed that sort of "risky" behavior anyway, but don`t believe big brother will be there to wipe your ass when you run out of credits in the game of life.

I don`t know, this sort of thing looks pretty dangerous. You just have to look at the everquest player who shot himself because his buddy stole all his credits. People take this sort of stuff too seriously. Adding real money to the equation is probably just a recipe for disaster, in some cases at least.

its not really stupid, this has been happening for a while now, in all MMORPG`s. in some of them, people would work hard and make lots of money (in game) then sell it to others for money (out game). MMO`s cost money to keep playing, so by working hard and having fun, when you are finished with your account you can sell it to make up your losses, even make money

Okay Suicism, I just looked at the very length of your posts and predicted how much waffle they were. Kudos to you for that uneeded indulgent waffle.

At least gamers could leave, and sue to get the money back. Unfortunately, social contract is one drafted and signed with your pre-natal signature. In other words, it`s something you`re born into, just another level of tyranny. Can`t just quit that game, and sue to get your money back, can you?? No, that`s called heresy/treason. Government can`t be fired. Now isn`t capitalism a nice fresh breath of air compared to the stinking stench of democratic industrialism that we`re used to?? All Hail the Information Age!!!

Imagine how the owners of the virtual property, the gamers themselves, would feel about seeing housing "projects" sprouting up throughout their territory, and their hard-earned (or barted) "tax" dollars being ripped-off from a centralized "project-entropia" bureaucracy which forces them to pay by extorting the credit-card numbers given to them intentionally at will, charging compulsory "public service" fees based, of course, on the majority vote of other users based on how the money should be spent? Think anyone`d want to play that game anymore? Nope, everybody would leave, except the ones in control or reaping the benefits (same people, just different degrees of the power - individual ratio)... then, once everyone was gone, they`d probably just riot or try to stop the riot in the name of the only employment opportunity left: service to the police state.

4 stars. The march of civilization, folks!!! Now can you imagine what this would be like if the government got involved?? Land management regulations; housing authority; property taxes; zoning laws; and most dreadful of all, "Affordable" HOUSING!! Can you imagine what would happen to the cyber-economy were the value of virtual properties forced to plummet due to an artificial price-floor being placed, through subsidies by tax dollars from the government, on housing prices in SELECTED neighborhoods, or even worse, new developments INTENTED to provide this type of foiled-market housing??

This website is becoming just like big-boys.com A bunch of idiots ruined it when they started writing racial stuff every time a post was made. This whole virtual real estate thing is actually really gay and sadly is going to become another one of those annoying trends, but what does it matter if the guy is American, European or wherever the hell he`s from? Let`s just laugh at him and get on with our lives.

wow, 2 comment strings that have been reduced to international bickering. What have we come to people - this is a freaking website about dumb shi*t to be found online - obviously some of the users arent that far removed from the content.

Can I buy a cardboard box in some big city alleyway in this game - that would be a conversation starter ... "Bitch I live in a trash can!" - Oscar the Grouch (via Dave Chapelle)
