I actually really liked that. I loved how they made it seem so factual, and almost plausible. Odd to think that with so many "real" dinosaurs, somehow the idea of dragons came about.

Cool video. Although some of the dragons seem like they wouldn`t really be able to fly the way they made the bodies. I doubt they would be smart enough to dance all artsy at the end of the video too.

Sort of choppy and didn`t flow very well. (just some clips from the Animal Planet special actually. And at least the creators tried to base the behaviors and adaptations on real animals. They could have just thrown together some basic myth stuff and been done with it.)

That was cool, trying to emulate the old Discovery Channel documentaries they did on the dinosaurs. 4 stars.

saw it on tv also; whats sad tho is that the creators actually believe that dragons exist or once existed.

Well the laws of physics obviously didn`t apply in this documentary.

Seeing those giant lizards flying around with those pitiful wings lowered my IQ by about 20 points.

Once question. Is this supposed to be a serious documentray made by a bunch of sad people or is it just entertainment?

Saladin, its a portion of a DVD "Dragon`s World" (2005). I think the creators really believe in their existence millions of years ago.

The documentary plays on the `discovery` of a dragon carcass in modern-day Romania (same place where Dracula came from) and the video clip is narrated by the wizard dude from the Lord of the Rings. So it must be real. Not.

I`d say it was just for entertainment, and that it could MAYBE be possible for dragons to have existed. It was still pretty sweet to watch though.

Actually, I believe that this actually was from the Discovery Channel in their two hour special “Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real”. They tried to take the most scientifically plausible approach to explaining the biology behind dragons were they to have existed. Though, their wins could have been just a little bigger. For instance, the Pteranodon was about six feet tall and its wing span could easily reach twenty five to thirty feet.

Obviously fictitious but nice. Someone mentioned that it is impossible for creatures with such small wings to fly. Check out the bumble bee - according to scientists it shouldn`t be able to fly although it appears that nobody has bothered to tell Mr Bee.

Dragons and other mythical creatures are neat, but that`s as far as I take it.

I saw this special and I thought it was well done. I don`t see why people think a dragon couldn`t fly with those wings? The common bee is a great example as someone else pointed out. The point where the juvenile learns to fly and (ew) empties his stomach seems plausible. Birds crap all the time to "lighten the load". Also, their idea on how the dragons breathed fire by eating minerals in rocks seems plausible as well. Just because we have never seen something, doesn`t mean it has never existed.

Very cool clip, the mating dance at the end looks just like the one preformed by bald eagles. I wonder what other behaviors are in the show that scientists added from birds?

I always loved the romantic notion that dragons were just possibly left over from the dinosaur era. I mean, they did exist in myths all the way across Europe into Asia -- so is there some fact based in fiction? We`ll probably never know. But I still like the idea. :)

Wyvern`s have wings but can`t fly. The rest look like European dragons judging by the size compared to that wizardy guy and yeah i think they might have existed :) i like impossible.
