9/10. Interesting to know about the crochet, minim, quaver and semi-quaver terms--I knew what beat was missing, but I had no clue what "quarter note" could translate into.

anyone know what song that Ravel excerpt is from? I really liked it. ^_^. I got 7/10... A: i really thought that was an oboe, B: I WAS gonna put classical, but put baroque instead (for Haydn) C: I was looking for a quarter note or a quarter rest... not a crochet... whatever that is.

Yeah, I`ve been playing violin for 14 years and have never heard the terms crochet or quaver. I answered Baroque on the Hayden question as well. :oP

The terms crochet, minim, quaver and semi-quaver are probably more easily recognized by European musicians... and that Haydn piece really should have been classified as Baroque by it`s sound, but the era paramaters they use assimilate it by date into the classical era. Haydn was, afterall, one of the opening artists into the classical era, so you actually are more perceptive in recognizing it based on the style it was transitioning OUT of: the Baroque era.

8/10. I swear that one where the answer was classical should`ve been Baroque though. Either that or my music history teacher in crazy. Oh well.

6/10! Whoo-hoo!
Pretty good for a girl whose only musical talent is pressing "play".
