    Agreed, HOBYandy.

And I doubt the ones below:

Fill up at night because pumps deliver more gas when temperatures are lower.

Buy gas from busy gas stations. Stations that are consistently busy have their tanks refilled regularly, which means the fuel is more likely to be fresh. Fresh gas has more power than gas that has become contaminated by sitting in infrequently used tanks.

Gas pumps nowadays adjust the volume of gasoline pumped to a standard 15C. Otherwise, gas would be dirt cheap for most Canadians in the winter!!!!

^^^Suuuure, there is only so far you can go by bike in a day, and I do not fancy getting to work sweaty.

It`s fine if you want to hop on the bike to get some milk instead of taking the car - we are rather dependent on cars, but there are simply way too many instances where a car is needed.

Eww I got a tip, watch the price of oil on your news cast if it goes up significantly gas prices are pretty much guaranteed to go up within a few days and sometimes faster. But really americans should stop complaining they have the cheapest gas in the world and if you really look at it with inflation it hasnt changed very much.

Move to Indonesia, petrol is actually subsidised by the government there making it even cheper than the US. I however agree with the government taxing petrol, its not a sustainable resource and we really should be looking harder at alternatives. It would be good if we all driving hybrid or hydrogen powered cars BEFORE the next time there is an oil crisis.

higher octane DOES increase the power your car makes, despite what this may say.

Race fuel (100 octane ++) increases HP by about 10-20 HP depending on the application.

The AC poo wouldnt work in Miami. Roll down the windows and you`ll be sweating all the way home with the nonstop traffic and 431234124141% humidity factor here. I`ll waste my gas to drive in comfort thankyouverymuch.
