    It is a joke...

    Phone lines carry current but just enough to work a phone not run a friggen car charger.
    Hell i have a phone with a built in answering machine and a cordless hand set, still needs to be plugged in for all the extras to work, but will still ringer when its just getting enery from the ohone line.

    its pretty damn obvious that it`s a joke. Their lead scientist would have to be an electrician right? and yet it shows a picture of him in front of (get this) Beakers of funny coloured chemicals.... hmm

    I`m surprised that no one pointed out the "US Patent No. 4773863" that Telco Powered Products are registered under is actually a patent for, as the US Patent office states, an "Amusement Device for a Toilet or Urinal".

    Or that their new products will run on "depleted uranium"...
