Yeah that was a small miracle that it landed that perfect without the front snapping off. :-O I thought it was going to be Jet-Blue up! :-P

Im flying to Florida tomorrow for 5 days. I hate planes as it is. Now I really don`t want to go.

yeah, it wasn`t really missing the front wheel, it was just twisted 90 degrees making it useless.

smoke(you`d call it that, right?) coming off of a plane`s front tire
    yes, dangerous and all
    but not all that interesting
trust me, I can say trust me
everyone was saying it, so I thought I would
I was hoping for an explosion or something
and, to end on a slightly offensive note, wow, was the lisp on that reporter annoying

yeah, I saw it live on TV too, x dreamer. Damn, that was scary as poo! I thought that thing was going to explode for a second- because it could`ve gone in the jet-thingies on the wings of the plane, and then they would be fudged up.

i`d rather have no wheel that one thats 90 degrees cuz if he landed with it it would snap off or get on fire.

let me explain what i said. It wasnt like the passengers could die in such a situation. this same kind of incident happened several times on several different types of planes and has never ever been remotely fatal. The media hyped it up since they had nothing else but hurricanes. That air france a340 incident in toronto last august is a completley different story.

Watched it last night live. The cabin crew did a hell of a job putting that bird on the ground. Two thumbs up.

Soro...Even if the rubber, from the tire had popped up and got sucked into the intake, it really wouldn`t have done much, let alone cause an explosion.

Na i just know that you made a statement that no one could argue with you if they were not an airline pilot or mech. Thats a bold statement, it pretty much says you are the absolute civilian authority on this type of plane landing. I being the old fart I am was just wondering how one with no experience in designing, flying or fixing large passenger planes, and who is between 13-17yrs old has that title? And if you were flying or fixing planes for any major airline id like to know which one. Id have to pass on them for future trips

BSR: I realy don`t know this guy, but I`m sure he is smarter then you guys give credit. Heck, I`m know there are kids out there with higher IQ then anyone. Well, I believe about the plane not being in any danger, cause I`m sure he know more about planes than I do. He may even be studying plane design or something like that in high school.

And ren I was not questioning his intelligence, I was questioning how he could claim to be an absolute authority among non-airline workers. No matter how intelligent you are there are things that only experience can make you smarter with. Reading about war and being in war are two different things. This is not as extreme, but I think you get it
