That`s when she stopped aging...
I feel so sorry for her, I doubt there is any cure.
I agree. I noticed the whole time she had this mix of appearences, like she had the structure of a six month old but the facial and body features of a six year old. And did you notice her motor skills? They were like that of a toddler sometimes...but it was obvious her body couldn`t quite manage all the intricate and strong movements. In a way, she`s like a weird amalgation of tiny baby and a preschooler with no mental capacity.
I also hope they never find a cure for aging. Dying of old age is good for the species, if not for the individual. Not all animals die of old age but those are the most primitive of animals which are in trouble. And like someone said before, we`re already overpopulated.
Anyways I never said she was ugly. Just throughout the interview she had this bewildered look on her face.
you lot all need to shut up, you`re so emo.
anyway, the kid was cute...=P
-stabs then kicks then stabs again-:-)
I find this very fascinating. I cant imagine how difficult it must be on the parents having a baby forever. Yes you *say* youd like your kids to stay babies forever, but in all reality, you look forward to them growing up on day.
Ladies only please
Jonathan, most genetic disorders are paired with some form of mental retardation, thus the "dumb look". I can`t explain the mother`s look, but to me she looked completely normal.
This is an intrigueing disorder, as she seems to be fighting death off relatively effectively, whereas most people with a genetic disorder as severe as this one die very early and for small reasons.
It`s interesting that she is the only person in the world with the disorder. I would be tracing her parents history back, and I hypothesise that they are related only a few generations back.
It is also likely that she grew fairly noramlly (I`m just guessing this from my own knowledge) until the age of about a year and then the disorder kicked in and prevented more learning and growing.
I don`t think there will be a "cure" for this, but I do hope that she lives a full and happy life.
I still can`t believe she`s almost my age. That`s just freaky...
And it isn`t going to live forever. They implied that the things lucky it lived this long.
