What the hell is the magic eight ball doing so high on the list?

Also: They forgot the fuzz-tone! Those rat bastards! Oh well, at least it was included on the `100 forgotten gadgets` list, along with our good friend Mr. Waffle Iron.

I have about 28 or 29 of those things. Some weren`t worthy of being on the list.

My aunt says Tickle Me Elmos aren`t good.
Her friends daughter use to take out the block that makes it shake... and you know the rest.
She threw it out later.
Press his tummy, he giggles. Press it again, he giggles a bit louder. Press it a third time, and Elmo goes into an epileptic conniption fit. Kids love it, but what separates Elmo from every other plush electronic toy? Rosie O`Donnell. After O`Donnell started throwing dozens of Elmos to her audience in 1996, the toy became that year`s hot craze -- and one of the biggest ever -- driving black-market prices as high as $2,000.
$2,000?!

Ho-Lee-Shyt...:-O
I have one... somewhere in storage.

I only have this to add:

"Stapling technology dates back to the 1700s..."

Seriously, whose job was it to know crap like that?

Pathetic list. I notice that a number of the products are Apple based -- including the #1 position over the telephone!?! Are they nuts? Yeah, a powerbook nobody bought is a better invention than something the WORLD uses even now. Stupid Mac people

They didn`t even stick to their own rules.

"It has to be a self-contained apparatus that can be used on its own, not a subset of another device. The flashlight counts; the light bulb does not. The notebook counts, but the hard drive doesn`t."

So what does a SANDISK COMPACTFLASH CARD do when it`s not part of another device? Am I supposed to use it as a bookmark? A rather small paperweight? A stencil for drawing rectangles?
