hrmm...i guess padded bras for the ladies would be a standard at Andersen Consulting as well? or is it alright for those to be seen when a cold breeze goes by hehehe

No joke.

I saw a serious memo sent out to the entire staff at an Andersen Consulting office that suggested men tape paper or band-aids across their nipples if they become visible on hot days through their white shirts.

The rest of the memo had all this stuff and more. The only difference between that memo and this web site is that these guys have a bit of a sense of humour about it.

yeah I think with alot of workplaces these rules would be obselete. With all the variations of suits and other buisness clothing it looks like its basically as long as you`re dressed cleanly and professionally your fine. Having your shirt untucked is even slowly begining to slip into the work place as the younger generation is starting to become the majority in the work force.

The guy isn`t saying everybody should dress like this, it is just a job requirement. Presenting yourself to the customers so you don`t get negative reactions. Big businesses want their employees to look professional. I don`t see what is wrong with that.

Note to self...

Deliberately dull-down the non-toe areas of my shoes, if I go and work there, or at a place where I must abide by that dress code...

This crap is so so so very lame...

Skirt Suit - No pants allowed, ever.

This sets feminism back...around...200 years or so

Man, this guy is way too much into "crisp" clothing. He must be related to George Costanza: "Crispy crisp!!"

Do a little searching on the site. You will eventually find this listed under "Burleson humor articles:" It`s called comedy, even when it isn`t that funny.

I don`t see anything wrong with it. I wish more places did this. Someone has every right to want their employees to look a certain way. It`s his business, if there is a problem with it, work somewhere else.
McDonalds and fast food places have it bad, look what you have to wear there. I just wish they would implement a "Pop your zits before work" policy

HAHAHA Mooseyfate.
Wow I could NEVER work for that place. I have a hard enough time dealing with people telling me what to do as it is. I couldn`t imagine that crap! Those clients are really stupid if they really care that much about what others look like and dress like. Get a life!!!

Females with facial hair are required to shave

Girls who shave their faces gross me out! Is waxing not allowed or something? I think the guy has OCD.

If your nuts hang more than 5 inches below your belt, have them removed.

for all sexes: if your face is kind of asymetrical, get plastic surgery before reporting to the office

boy they are obsessed with having shiny shoes.. i reckon the manager has some sort of fetish. He definately needs to go into some kind of therapy. And medieval shoes aren`t fashionable in europe...

"Tie - Must be conservative, nothing George Bush wouldn`t wear."

Is that Herbert Walker or "Dubba"? This list is so vague how could it be any use to anyone?

Let`s all look the same and be robots shall we? What is up with women not wearing pants? "Our clients dictate the dress code" Hmmm...could it be that a majority of those clients you are meeting with (Fortune 500 companies) are mostly men? Not being completely sexist here. Honestly, the women`s code wasn`t that bad (he forgot to mention hoisery) but I don`t see what can be wrong with wearing pants!? Skirts are for girls and pants are for boys went out in the 30s. Get with the times man!

And saying Hawaii is a seperate tropical nation. Also, they mention that derby hats are acceptable, but in the hat pictures, it says that derby hats are distinctly british and unallowed.

No Neanderthal-style single eyebrows are allowed, and you should shave any loose hair on your forehead or the PALMS OF YOUR HANDS.

Oh those naughty consultants, didn`t their parents teach them?

Meh, I went to a Catholic highschool, I`ve seen worse. They do use more colorful examples of what is unacceptable, but still pretty simple. They dont cover a lot of stuff though. According to this, technically you could come to work with a black t-shirt that says fck me underneath your oxford shirt, a cheese hat, 14 skull rings, a midget named Joe(as long as you can pass him off as a necktie George Bush would wear), and a bunch of other stuff.
