If I say "celebrity scandal" today, people will probably think of Tom Cruise, but if I said it a year ago, or a year from now, you`d be thinking of whatever celebrity scandal was current and being plastered on the news everywhere.
Are we even at war with Afghanistan? I`m sure most people think it`s just an occupation. It`s never on the news at all. And I`m sure most people on this website didn`t live thru WWII, it`s ancient history to them.
In other words, the creator of this film painted war as a bad thing so some thought of Iraq first (rather then say Afghanistan) meaning somewhere inside they feel Iraq war = bad.
So Palfas you loose. Next time, read all the comments before contributing your own.
(if you can`t tell, I support Benderman)
Comparing the war in Iraq with WWII as an `honorable` war is exactly how they want you to think.
Churchill by the way never started a war. There`s world of difference between when your country is actually being attacked and in danger of being invaded by another hostile country, then the other way around.
"Now, the Star-Belly Sneetches / Had bellies with stars. / The Plain-Belly Sneetches / Had none upon thars."
For those of you who say this is "propaganda" I really just think it`s one person`s point of view... and I`ve thought about it, and I agree with them. So Woz:
1) Soldiers are mindless killing machines, or at least, that`s what any given government trains them to be.
2) Any leaders of war-faring nations do inevitably have some underlying, unstated motive.
Which leads me to Tex:
The war in Iraq isn`t about Oil as much as it was about the U.S. dollar. Saddam wanted to trade Oil in Euro`s instead of Dollars...as it is now, everyone trade`s oil in Dollars, and this keeps Dollars in high demand. So the U.S. really had to stop Saddam otherwise other countries would try to trade oil in Euro`s too, and then the Dollar would just become obviously worthless, instead of just quietly worthles
Wow... I`m going to go out on a limb here and say that anyone who believes sheer propaganda like this really shouldn`t throw their opinions around so senselessly... They may make a fool of themselves.
