Apparently these people have never heard of the internet before. They deserve to be lonely if they are looking for love in a wal-mart anyways.

I don`t know about everyone else, but not a lot of attractive people shop at Wal-Mart`s where I live.

As such I certainly wouldn`t participate in this program if I were a woman.

that`s pathetic! I`m a loser but I would feel even more loser if I tried to pick up girls at a wal mart! I mean, aren`t there bars or clubs for that? Well,it sounds like a good idea if you`re a redneck.

Heard this on Leno the past week. Last night they had an update on Leno announced that it was cancelled. I`m sure many people will be very disappointed.

I could see it as a good idea...if it wasn`t based in Wal-Mart.I admit I get quailty items there at low prices from time to time, but I`d rather be more choosy with my men. Wal Mart standards just dont meet up

Yeah, are there different colored bows like that gay handkerchief thing? How about singles MacDonalds or singles Taco Bell? How about singles Montgomery Ward? Maybe they ought to restrict it to the bingo halls and senior citizen centers. Excuse me while I go puke.

I think it was a pretty good idea, and I think that Wal-Mart "higher-ups" are pussies for stopping it.
On another note, why do people feel compelled to get that extra "o" in the word "loser"?
    Pay attention.
    Loser = One who loses.
Looser = More loose. Like your mom.

It was a great idea for walmart marketing anyways. How much random stuff do you think those dateless wonders bought while looking for love? It was a very smart idea on walmart`s part.

    -agrees with enohead-

It was a good idea...you can find love anywhere whether it`s a wal-mart or not. And if you`re a redneck who lives in a shack in the woods with no internet then this is great for you. xP

I think it`s a great idea! Mainly not for us young people, but for elderly people who love to shop (because they have nothing else they can do), don`t go to bars (because an old person in a bar looks like an alcoholic) and who are lonely. Shopping is probably one of the best ways one can meet people (while sober)... and despite people laughing about Wal-Mart being a cheap place, it is one of the only stores that you can justifiably hang around and shop in for 3 hours.

I don`t understand why people could be against it. Is being single offensive somehow? "Kids, don`t look at that man, he`s single! How disgusting."

What`s wrong with people tying ribbons to their carts in Wallmart? Can`t they just go anyway and bring their own ribbons?

I wouldn`t have participated in that program (even if I didn`t have my soulmate already) but I think it`s stupid that walmart cries about everything. Let the people have some fun and try to find a date. Big deal. As long as the people involved have fun and no one gets hurt, they shouldn`t have made them stop doing it.

Totally agree with enohead. Spelling is one of my biggest pet peeves. And I think it is sad how people feel bad enough about their single status to try and find love in Wal-Mart. Why can`t people just accept the fact that they are single, and not search for "love" in out of the way places like Wal-Mart where you probably are just going to pick up a relationship that might last for a couple of months.

How could people cancel an innocent (albeit unusual) tradition like that?
