Ants Clone Themselves

Pretty bizarre, the males and females make exact copies of themselves without mating.

One popular defining factors of species is that all male individuals can breed with all female individuals to produce fertile offspring, although, it`s always been quite a dodgy one.

And Tions and Ligers are sterile

I think its posible for a liger to have children, just very rare. I remember reading about a liger mating with a tiger and they had a child called something like a tiliger

That`s the most interesting thing... is that really what makes different species? Steril offspring? Like Muels are steril... and I wonder if Ligers are steril too.

That`s fascinating, technically they would have to be classed as different species, since their offspring aren`t fertile
