    4. Protect children from sockets.

    Keep a piece of electrical tape over them when not in use.

    bad idea. kid will pull off tape eat it, then stickfingers in socket.

    HJ i dont think a one year old could pull of a piece of electrical tape if it put on there well enough, let alone duct tape. and how would a person or any age be able to get 1/4" diameter fingers into a 1/16" wide outlet or a 1/8" ground outlet?

    I thought some of those were really useful, but others were just obvious like "what vegetable will improve eyesight-carrots" I never would have guessed. Also, it was pretty hard to focus on the page long enough to read all 200. It took me forever. Short attention span I suppose

    the salt one - geeze using blotting paper, UGh ever though of using dry rice, just put it in with the salt, it doesnt get moist then!

    No, Osprey, that`s essentially what those store-bought fireplace logs are. On the other hand, they don`t make your whole house smell like burning newspaper, so....

    I already knew the one about maling your windows and mirrors shine

    but its more effective if you start with a dry newspaper and let it dampen as you wipe off the water you spray onto the glass

    some of those were very useful though!

    number 10 doesnt work. all the paper does is float around the fireplace while it`s burning up.
