its all about python.....you can decode it with a cryptogram decoder, which basically says the answer is maketrans (the ma_etrans in the line) BUT that appears to be wrong and you need to use convert MAP to the crypto (I think) but I can`t figure out how to use strings.maketrans()

i hope you didnt translate it by hand. thats what computers are for. doing it in by hand is inefficient and that`s why this text is so long. using string.maketrans() is recommended. now apply on the url

I no i will sound dumb(then again im blonde!) I cant figure out lv0,Ive tried 2**38, 2tothepowerof38,2 to the power of 38, 2000000000000000000000000000000000000000 and 238. HELP!

Page number 3, the one with the candles... any idea? I don`t know what to look for in the big jumble, and I might delete what I`m looking for on accident.

Kind of a spoiler for level 3:(I`m not sure if it is, but I don`t want to piss people off who don`t want too much help...) / / / / / Use a program like Word or Works. Make sure the jumble is grammatically correct with a checker. You`ll find what you`re looking for in each segment.

To save a lot of people the trouble, there`s no real point in just copying the answers from a spoiler page, and you`re unlikely to get anywhere if you can`t write programs, if not in python, at least in some language.

I`ve stared to fiddle with Python (no that`s not a euphemism, get your mind out of the gutter).

I`ve not figured out how to get `to the power of`, given that I`ve been doing it for about five minutes, but here`s my first attempt which solves the first one.

(And yes, I know you can just do it on a calculator, but I`m entering into the pythin spirit)

>>> a, b = 2, 38 >>> while b > 0: print a print b a, b = a*2, b-1

And I`ve also solved the next one, the maketrans one, but I didn`t know how to use maketrans, so I wrote some of the most clunky, inelegant code ever, quite possibly, but it got the job done.

Of course, you can simply do it by hand, but it`s not really the point.

- One of these URL fabrication games like Not Pron but with a programming twist.:-)

It`s 2 to the power of 38.

I don`t actually know python at all, so this is hard. I`m stuck on level 3.

level 0: just 2^38

Level1: http://www.pythonchallenge.com/pc/def/oc...

This should be a good little challenge, I think.

(And yes, I know you can just do it on a calculator, but I`m entering into the pythin spirit)

>>> a, b = 2, 38

>>> while b > 0:

print a

print b

a, b = a*2, b-1

>>> 2**38

Or, alternatively,

>>> pow(2, 38)

Of course, you can simply do it by hand, but it`s not really the point.

Onwards to Q2!

Now for 3.
