I wouldn`t call that replicating, still eerie though... ::starts moving his stuff into a nearby mountain nuclear shelter::

imagine if they put like 1000 of those blocks in one spot, that would be cool. I dont think anything terrible will happen until AI comes along, then look out

I`m so glad I wasn`t the only one who was really creeped out by that. Yet another reason not to have kids, who may one day be tortured and killed by robots.

It is pretty freaky. And what freaks me out more is that ppl are trying to make AI similar to living organisms.

What if evil aliens have invaded our planet Earth & this is how they plan to take it over eventually? Refuse/resist! The truth is stranger than fiction...

Nice. This is cool. I hope that they get better. Think about it. You could send them to mars, or whatever, and they could seperate, look around, come back together, and use the combined energy to send it back to earth. Or you could blanket a battlefield with them, and put them together in various vehicles and baricades. And don`t forget the police, who could use them to go into buildings and root out suspects. Can you imagine how scary a bunch of cubes in the shape of a snake suddenly broke apart and reformed into a wall that slowly moved toward you? This has some real potential.

Heh, hope they don`t take over! Even if they did try to supress the human race, it would be kinda hard without some AI. Then, hopefully, they`ll be friendly. If not, nuke `em!

it reminds me of the "grey-goo" end of the world theory. these robots replicate themselves, then the replicated robots repeat the process with other bits of matter (as in you,the ground, the whole earth) and doesnt stop until the entire world has become nothing but billions of replication robots.

Claymation? Can I buy some pot from you? Man, that was one of the coolest things I`ve ever seen. It reminded me a little of `Rubik`s Snake`

That`s not self-replicating, even less is it reproducing! If you have to keep adding blocks then it`s just following a simple program, emphasis on the simple!

Oh, and it`s not claymation. Claymation requires clay, that is a robot!
