Link: The Camel Spider - One huge freakin spider. Includes a video.

That`s even worse than the one on the Brady Bunch Hawaii.

This has been explained thousands of times on the internet, it`s not A camel spider, there are 2 camel spiders, if you look closer you can see that they were fighting or something and one is bitting the other, that`s why it looks like a huge spider, it`s because they are hold to each other.

Thanks korvus but still, even though it is 2, those are still big and I`d freak out if I ever saw one or two of em.

The look bigger in the first picture because of the relative sizes of the people behind it but if you look at the mans hand you`ll realize they are not really that big.

The "facts" listed on that site are also FALSE.

Still, having flesh gnawed off by a not-so-large-but-still-larger-than-usual spider would scare me. Heck, any spider would scare me.

If you look at the video where it shows the spider attacking a scorpian, you can see the spider it pretty small. Scorpians are very small.

Gods! I love animals and insects, but those need to die!...okay maybe not, but still!! Eck!

(Sarah, scorpions can be large, a south african scorpion can be 8 1/2 inches long, and emperor scorpions are about 6 1/2 inches. I think you`re thinking of the little bark scorpions, which are about 2 to 2 3/4 inches long.)

I encounterd a few in afghanistan. They don`t have venom, so getting bit is VERY painfull. They usually just mind their own buisness, but if you`re the only source of shade, they`ll run to you`re shadow. Pretty creepy, everytime you move, it runs back to your shadow. About the size of your palm.

if you really want to understand the size of the spiders, compare the TWO in the picture to the hand in the upper right corner.

That picture is NOT fake! It is just taken at such an angle that the spider looks bigger than it actually is. If you look in the top left you can see the soldier`s sleeve and compare it to the size of the spider.

Message to those who hate spiders: After I saw this picture, a spider crawled up into my bed. It was pretty big and also hairy. It kept trying to crawl into my nose, but I wouldn`t let it. Finally it bit me a few times under my foot until it was bored and crawled away. Now that you read this, the same thing will happen to you too. Sweet Dreams.
