If I was a goldfish with a 7 second memory I would want this bowl! The great thing about being a goldfish would be that I wouldn`t remember that I haven`t had much room to swim in and that I`ve had an entirely crappy life!

I think the Mythbusters (Discovery channel) de-bunked that 7 sec memor thing. Even goldfish can be trained to do tricks (swim thru a maze for food) and some country in Europe banned round fish bowls cuz of the distortion when the fish look out.

Dispite that, I still think the racetrack is cool... at least gives them somethin to do.

Pretty cool idea, even if they have longer memory. That would make a great conversation piece, but $50 seems bit much to me. Maybe I`m just cheap. ;)

i forgot to say that the minum tank size for a single goldfish is about 10 gallons that tank is 3 gallons. they are actually trying to make tanks that small illegal.

i really liked the hanging fish pod. But, i wonder, how often would you have to change that water without a filter? It would be a pain in the butt. Plus, how well would that gallon of water really hold on the wall? Wouldn`t the hook fall down?

I think goldfish have a short term memory that`s not that long (that`s where the 7 seconds thing comes in), but they can also store things in their long term memory. I saw the same Mythbusters episode as kathaclysm. So after many laps, I`m sure they would catch on.

Every one of us have owned a goldfish at some point. And every one of us came downstairs one morning and found the fish dead on the ground. These mass suicides have been ignored for too long. These fish have been trying to tell us that these tiny little bowls drive them insane!!! Why else would they leap from the bowl to certain death below?

I also liked the hanging fish pod, but it would be far too small to keep fish in.

A single goldfish does not need a 10 gallon tank! I had goldfish for years (and now raise bettas) and never had a bowl more than about a gallon. And that was for two goldfish. They lived for 2 years until someone killed them.

And my bettas live in even smaller bowls and are happy as clams.
