Funny animation with lots of awful attempts at translation.

To the mp3 dude, if you just go up near the top of this very pare, a guy has a link to the lyrics, in both Romanian and English. Follow that link, and after the lyrics, the page has a link to the mp3 of the song.

For all of you raving about the "original" Numa Numa video... this IS the original! Shows what you blowhards know.

From an interview with Gary Brolsma (`Numa Numa guy` for you simpletons) himself:

"The song was pretty random, I found it in another (I believe it was Japanese) flash animation with cartoon cats or something, I don`t know honestly... ha ha. The song is called "Dragostea Din Tea" by the group "O-Zone"."

This video was made for 2channel, the WORLD`S largest internet forum. Because Japan receives an influx of hit music from all over the world, it`s no surprise that one of them stumbled on Dragostea Din Tei. The cats are ASCII characters that are well known at 2channel.

Oh yeah, and Roy Igloo.. that joke about your funeral... it was funnier the first time I heard it when it stand-up comic Nick Swardson told it on Comedy Central Presents.

si sunt voinic -> kisu sugoi niku (kiss awesome/cool meat)
Dar sa stii nu -> dassen pooe no (isn`t [the train] derailed?)
cer nimic -> sara ni niku (something about meat that I wasn`t able to translate fully as no kanji were given)
Vrei sa pleci dar -> bei sa beishu daro (it is rice and rice wine)
nu ma, nu ma iei -> noma noma yay (drink drink yay)
Chipul tau si -> keep Dahlsim
dragostea din tei -> ago study day (chin study day)
Mi-amintesc de ochii tai -> habyou sude ooki te ire (put a calming wave into a big pipe barehanded. This seemed to be too many sylables even with cutting off the second one of teki [pipe] but the other reading for the kanji [fue] doesnt seem to fit with the consonants)

I am not fluent in Japanese so take all my translations with a grain of salt. Even so im fairly confident about most of them

after being exposed to this by a friend yesterday I decided to translate the Japanese so that more people could understand the jokes. As it`s been mentioned before, this video is not a translation into Japanese, its just jokes based off what the Romanian sounds like if in Japanese
In Japanese L and R are the same character so there is often confusion between the two
alo -> arrow
salut -> saru (monkey)
sunt eu -> sugei (awesome/cool in masculine speech, sugoi in non gendered language)
un -> un (a sound of agreement)
haiduc -> haiduku (a note)
si te rog -> jipero (letter-dog)
iubirea mea -> yubi rama (finger llama, the character with ronald means to point as well as finger)
fericirea -> panchira (something about panties hence the girl with the short skirt)
alo -> alone
alo -> aaron (I have no clue who that is depicted but I guess his name is aaron)
beep -> beef

I think you all missed the point. it`s not that their trying to translate, they are being intentionally grammatically incorrect. It just shows how all other languages except english are silly

they do translate things bad..i.e "beep" to "beef", "dragostea din tei" to "study day" etc

That was amazing. This song... i will have it played at my funeral. I`ll a closed casket service... but i won`t be in the casket! Then the song plays and lights start flashing and down comes my lifeless body on strings and everyone is utterly utterly horrified. And if my family doesn`t do it... I`ll haunt them
