From an interview with Gary Brolsma (`Numa Numa guy` for you simpletons) himself:
"The song was pretty random, I found it in another (I believe it was Japanese) flash animation with cartoon cats or something, I don`t know honestly... ha ha. The song is called "Dragostea Din Tea" by the group "O-Zone"."
This video was made for 2channel, the WORLD`S largest internet forum. Because Japan receives an influx of hit music from all over the world, it`s no surprise that one of them stumbled on Dragostea Din Tei. The cats are ASCII characters that are well known at 2channel.
Oh yeah, and Roy Igloo.. that joke about your funeral... it was funnier the first time I heard it when it stand-up comic Nick Swardson told it on Comedy Central Presents.
I am not fluent in Japanese so take all my translations with a grain of salt. Even so im fairly confident about most of them

My best friend was singing this and I thought he made it up...
yea, there was a post about this, and the cat one was discussed
they do translate things bad..i.e "beep" to "beef", "dragostea din tei" to "study day" etc
That`s a beautiful language (Romanian?) in my opinion.
Strange thing how is possible and high he Japanese translation.... is to have done from English the non- from English song, by mistake... it allots in order to ask the babelfish, it goes
And was that Dhalsim from Street Fighter in there?
