This doesn`t work , in my experiences. I tried it on many different locks (10+), and not a single one worked....

if i had a lock that i couldn`t remember the combination to, i would just cut the lock than go through all the math and hassle of trying to open it.

This is pretty cool. Although, it says somewhere in there that the number modulus thing only works on the dials with 40 ticks. Thes ones at my school have 60.

One Master lock, While pulling on the clasp (part that springs open), turn the knob to the left until it will not move any more, and add five to the number you reach. that is the first number of the combination.

    The 2nd number
Spin the dial around a couple of times, then go to the first number you got. Turn the dial to the right, bypassing the first number once. When you have bypassed the first number, start pulling on the clasp and turning the knob. The knob will eventually fall into the groove and lock. While in the groove, pull the clasp and turn the knob. If the knob is loose, go to the next groove, if the knob is stiff, you have the 2nd number of the combo.

    The 3rd #
After getting the 2nd number, spin the dial, then enter the 2 #`s. Slowly spin the dial to the right, and at each #, pull on the clasp. The lock will eventually open if you did the process right. This method of opening Master locks only works on older models. hrugo
