yes, considering pokemon has generated about 50 billion dollars in sales of everything but the kitchen sink and pantyhose as well as making an entire continent of nine year olds become obsessed over such a fad, such as moi when i was that age, id say that pokemon was significantly more influential than the sims.
im glad myst is up there, although i think it should be even higher. not too high, consdering it has to contend with all the old school revolutionary games. but meh...glad halo is up there too...id love it to be higher but it wasnt too influential compared with some of the other ones...even if it is my second favorite game of all time, ocarina of time being the first :-)
Did the Sims spawn the idea of conning kids into bugging their parents into buying twenty different incarnations of the same characters?
Personally I dislike some of the games on there (hell, everyone hates ET) but they were all very important games.
Parappa does seem kind of out of place... most people that I know wouldn`t consider that a "revolutionary" game.
It`s in chronological order, nothing to do with quality or importance.
Parrapa the rapper deserves it`s place for the revolutionary aspect.
I also don`t agree with the order of the list. The list goes pretty much in chronological order, and I agree that Mario Bros., Myst, and Tetris should all be much higher.
