Is it only me or does anyone else have the impression that this is going to be used mainly at the wall of the women`s locker room?

It`s totally bogus. The first clue to it being bogus is that the French are interested. ;) The second clue is that he`s Canadian. Again ;)

I`d like to see a demonstration before I decide whether or not it works.

I`m not saying this is true or not. But to say it isn`t possible becuse we don`t have the means to do it is stupid. It is called inventing. You know making NEW things.

GEOtechno, as far as Buddy`s links being stupid, he`s contributed a tremendous amount to IAB; I don`t see you doing any better?!

If it`s really real, I think it`s not cool. There goes my life. Just watch me picking my nose through the walls. I mean, a person should at least be able to pick their nose in private!

I was under the impression that the army already used microwaves to see through walls.

I`d laugh if it was just as made up as the `science` of the original stuff. I suppose it goes on how far you define the ability to `see through` something. There may be some things transparent in some spectra that are visible in others, but if you can`t see through it in the visible, no amount of Hz is gonna get you seeing through stuff. Unless you vapourise the thing you`re looking at... #16 indeed.

Fake.

Four things:

1. You can use a Terahertz-frequency beam to see through objects. The theory is reasonably well-documented. Since he`s using a microwave (2.4 GHz) to generate the beam, he`s not getting a high enough frequency. It`s not a metter of using harmonics, either. Making a THz generator is next to impossible.

2. It would see through his entire hand, not just his skin. Why? Because the THz beam sees through the molecular-level holes in the object, not just the top layer.

3. Any time anyone says that "new laws of Physics" have to be written, then they have violated one of the warning signs of bogus science.

4. Whenever you don`t publish to a peer-reviewed journal first, that`s another warning sign.

By the way, resuce teams use infra-red to see though walls. (If you`re cold, there`s no point in resucing you.)

I have seen specials on this guy on the Discovery channel. The fire past he created is awesome. He applied a blow torch directly to it I mena with in an inch of the paste and it held.

He even went as far as puting the paste on a helment and then puting the paste over it then talking the torch to the paste. He obviously believes in his work. I also saw the suit he was working on durring a special.

He seems to be an amazing inventor, I imagine if any one could make such a machine it would be him.

"even if it was real the size of that thing eliminates its uses to zero"

do you think that everything we have starts out small? no, things always start off as bulky and impractical. take computers for example. many people said the same thing about computers. but as technology improves, we are able to make things smaller and smaller.

If it is real and does work, this will be amazing... the technology may be able to be made smaller in time with more research.

sounds like a tabloid story to me. especially after i read that someone from MIT shipped him a piece of paneling from a Comanche helicopter. yeah right. the government would be all over this guy if it were true and we would have never been able to read the story.
