This goes way beyond The Hiding Room. This whole thing consists of loads of websites, like Malletman`s previous link. I very much doubt you`ll get in the door from The Hiding Room alone. A large scale, online, murder mystery, sort of. V cool idea.

Interesting about your number stubbytorso. On one of the websites (Trident Air maybe), it has two coordinates for their main offices:

    50 45n 0004 46e 417
    48 06n 098 54w 1450

    notice the 5045?

Anyway, I`m sure most of the clues for this are found on the websites. I do notice that the picture in the magazine on the coffee table is the abandoned airfield where there was a "man in black" sighting.

Here`s something else interesting. When you go to Jon`s website, on the Book of Star page, if you press "ui" or "iu", a popup opens saying "Nice Try, but you need to be a lot less literal"

It does the Nice Try message for login on Jon`s website too.

I`m now stuck on viewing Jon`s full contract, on S&S`s website. Any ideas on the password?

Finally, anyone found the relevance of the Stella Artois film yet?

Ok, mid-way spoilers, up to where I`ve got.

The "exit music for a film", on the stereo, is for the film After Dark 2004, and the song is by Unklesounds. Take a look at the Marlowe site, under Selected Works, Stella Artois, and then visit site. Don`t know if it`s important, but it`s there.

Now here`s the real spoiler. To login on the S&S site, the login is 14bbb942. The next pw is fidelio. Now you`ve got to visit the inferno site, and login there. That`s where I`m stuck. They give you a reference number, but I don`t know what to do with that, or what the pw is for Jon`s full contract.

    Anyone any ideas?

Anyone else notice the photo of him, his mom, his dad, on the desk?

there are two things I notice.

    1) He`s not wearing glasses.
    2) There`s no sister.

The boy in the photo looks about 5 or 6, and I can`t imagine (from the video of Brigid and of jon on the sites) that he would be that much older than brigid so I think it`s plain PROOF (as all we had before was speculation) that she is not his sister.

It`s not actually greek (I asked a greek guy in my lab, and he verified), it`s just in a greek font.

This is waaaayyy too complicated for my tastes -- I thought it would be another one of those "click around until you find all the clues" sort of deals, and here everybody is, talking about greek translations and crossword puzzles and web references. I mean, I`m bored but I`m not THAT bored! Somebody e-mail me the password to the door (and/or a description of what`s behind it) when you get it figured out. E-mail address is [email protected] . Great game so far, huge and with such varied web pages to go through. Have noticed on most if not all of the sites they ask you to register for updates, add a comment, sell your soul whatever is this part of the game or is this a way of tracking progress? (sorry, my browser doesn`t allow me to create a hyperlink...). That should help you with some of questions you have. But watch out, it`ll spoil a the search a little ;-)

This is impossible! I just have one question. What is up with all the are you 18 crap? I have read the post stating that there may be reward money, but I have a different theory. This may simply be because I have been so frantically entangled in this game, but with all this talk of a man in black, and the selling of one`s soul, what can I believe? Therefor, I think that all the "are you 18" junk is to verify that one is of sufficient age to sell one`s soul. Maybe this game is making me crazy! The devil is coming!!! ;-/

The reason you need to be over 18 is that the game is a promotion for Stella Artois beer.

    PT3110-04 --> pt is pathwaytravel?
    Dennis Horen is sable.
Why? Cuz at http://www.hornchurchstar.com/classified... you can see dennis has the same number as sable.
And take a look at http://www.hornchurchstar.com/news_story...
Here we can see sable met shuck at the crossroads --> "The police are looking for two potential witnesses in particular; one man who was seen in a red and black shirt near the crossroads yesterday afternoon, and another man who was dressed entirely in black." Then man in black is shuck, no doubt. The other man has a red and black shirt! http://www.hornchurchstar.com/news_story...
Hey, what does our Dennis wear?
Also I see the number 1366 everywhere.. at marlowe digital in a logo, it`s also the number inhabitants, there

Another thing, when I fail to login at sableshuck.com or at pathwaytravel there is a message: Login prevented by Cerberus. Hey, this is the same mane mentioned at http://www.hewalksamongus.com/thesigns.h...
    look there at `Canidea`.
At jonharker.com we see his glasses. So he probably lost them? Now what did bridgit tell us? http://www.helpmefindjon.com/brigid_lo.h... and look at `about jon`.
And Estelle Starr is also a client (sableshuck.com), who is also mentioned at http://www.hornchurchstar.com/news_story...

Dunno if its relevant but the guest book mkes a few refs to perfect squares (ie the square of a perfect number), 441 is 21 squared and another page says perfect, 21/21, 21 is a perfect number.

The jug in the fridge, is actually a keg of Stella Artois, the company sponsoring this game. Some items in the Hiding room flat are reference to Stella`s advertising campaigne (ie the picture of the blue car in the kitchen). Regarding the bottle opener by the apples, it`s made by Alessi and it`s named something like Diablo !! I like the attention to details :-)

So I logged into SableShuck tonight with my supposedly unique login and took some sort of personality assessment. I scored a 74. I don`t know if you have to score 100 before someone contacts you again, but it might be the case. You can keep taking the test until you score better.

There`s a much better, more compehensive forum at , it`s got all the info i`ve seen on this one plus loads more, someone even has a long interview with marlowe digital about the game. By the way 74 is the highest you can score on the test and once you`ve tried 10 times you can`t get above 15.
The general consensus on the other forum is that we`ll have to wait till the 21st for more info.

Ok people, i have been visiting this forum since i discovered the Hiding room on the web.. but only today i decided to create an ID.

    ok, some things i`ve discovered:
    http://www.hewalksamongus.com/about2big....
at the website http://www.goldenfuturesandoptions.com , the Backgroundcolor is #666666. this is what i could find at this hebsite... it must have something else hide, otherwise it doesnt makes any sense...

At S&S website thay say something about their birthday... and it has something related with this: http://www.free-definition.com/Aleph-num...

"Call Dennis on 666-->1366<--" and marlowe has designed a logo for something called onethreesixsix

and it must have some information we missed at stela artois website...

Hi all! I am new, and I am not the best in english, so be patient!
There is a new clue in some of the pages of the trawellers guest book. Look for it: There are som numbers: 1,12,12,9,19,14,15,20,19,5,5,13,19. 20,8,3,18,3,1,18,5,3,12,21,5,19,5,22,5,18,25,23,8,5,18,5. I think thos are afcaurse numbers of letters in the englis alphabet. So here it is: ALLISNOTSEEMSTHCRCARECLUESEVERYWHERE. The middle of it is not so clear to me. Maybe you can handle it.
    Continuning thinking...

And one more thing. The book witvh contains the half of the paper... you know... So the book is signed whit this half at the letter G. I dont know, what kind of dictionary is that. I have no kind of that. Maybe you have. Can you take a look? What kind of words are on that page?
I have look after those coordinates of the offices of shable & Shuck. Maybe I am wrong, but the first one is in Belgium, the second is in Mongolia in the middle of nothing.

I believe it will be finished, it just takes time. Not all clues are already released, we have to wait for more. If you sign up on the various websites, you might be getting e-mail, which can give you more clues. I think, once all clues are there, we should be able to find away into the room, and into the contract.

OK, i may have found something on this one page. May have some value. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3639679.stm
At the bottom, there are "Comments from You". One of the comments is from a Jon from the UK. He talks about passwords and how they need to be done with numbers inside words. He gives two examples, they both don`t work in the door, but maybe this helps in figuring out the door password.

    http://deaddrop.us/wiki/index.php/S%26S:_Character_Interaction#An_e-mail_from_Jon_Harker_received_on_Dec_2.2C_2004:
ONe of the e-mails from Jon states that ibidem(the book password) is not sufficient. It says that leads to error and truth. Maybe there is another password that has more information. It also refers to an updated journal. Hmm.

If you don`t know about the safe and that no one knows the door password yet, you don`t know a fraction of everything involved in this game. The safe is behind the bookcase, you need to click three different books in the correct order. Here`s a hint, the books are the ones that are tilted. After that, good luck. A lot of us have been working on this a long time. P.S. on the assesment, i found out you cannot get a 100, somehow, jon did. The highest score possible is an 80. I got it by using a file i found with all the correct answers.

I don`t know if this is usefull, but jon, in the cache, says that he read 2 books of Jorge Luis Borges:"A Universal History of Infamy", and "Labyrinths: Selected Stories and Other Writings". Well, this author has a book named "The Aleph", maybe its related with "The aleph mets the star"

i dont think she is his sister, i think she is the "dark one" just think about it, she is offering you money (it explains that the demon will offer you anything you want, for your soul, in this case, its jons soul) and she is also wearing black

I have been trying to read all the posts but did not see this and thought it interesting....I copied it from a web site when I did a search on Johnson`s School of Guitar.....Clarksdale was once the home of Tennessee Williams, as well as many legendary bluesmen. The legend of the down-and-out musician meeting the devil around midnight at the crossroads to trade an untuned instrument for eternal greatness originated here. Some say the crossroads is the intersection of Routes 61 and 49. Get a snack at a local eatery and ponder days-gone-by in this strange place.......

At the crossroads where, in the dark Mississippi night, Robert Johnson traded his soul to the devil for fame and guitar-playing genius, you can now get a Happy Meal and fries to go.........I saw this also

This game seems good, but it is long and complicated. There are a lot of things to go through and it leads everywhere. There`s a lot of wasted time put into this game for no apparent reason.
