It does work about 25% of the time (that someone finds your book and does a journal on it). But the whole philosophy of Bookcrossing.com is not to just release books in the wild just so they get caught and logged, but to give the gift of books without expecting anything in return. I`ve been doing it for about a year, and love it!

Actually, I do this on occasion. It does work, suprisingly. ^_^;

I have to try this some time. Next time I go out, I`ll have to check this site for the location of the dropped book. Then see if I can find it. Then maybe drop some more off in other places. see what happens to them.
Interesting idea. I have to congratulate you for finding this site Buddy. ;-)

You know I want to do that..sounds fun...I would hate to just leave the book somewhere though. I would be like nooooooo!!!!! Books are soo precious to me!

I`d have to agree. It`s a good idea, but not likely to work. Most of the time a person will completely disregard a book that`s been left somewhere, or they`ll send it to a lost-and-found type place.

I think that is a great idea. So few people read books anymore. I`ve heard about this a few times but had not realised there was a site for it. I`m going to give it a try. I just finished 3 books that I would be perfect to drop off somewhere.

Thank you for the link Buddy.

Thats a really cool idea, I`m not sure how many people will do it though...
