Argueing political standpoints on the internet is pointless, which is why I am going to keep my left-wing comments out. All I am going to say is that in all fairness, It was quite appearent tht GWB was wearing a earpiece or something of that matter based on the very detailed bulge on the back of his jacket :\

I feel really bad for this country because there are many people who think like you jphunt. Because of your intense love for one man (Bush) you feel you can slander someone you don`t even know. I wish you would read over your entry and see how crazy you sound.

If you don`t know enough about our candidates, then yes, you shouldn`t waste or misuse your vote. I agree with you there gizmo. And perhaps you are correct with your view of public ignorance of our candidates. Apart from this, is it our responsibility as American citizens to pay attention to our president during his term, evaluate his actions, and compare them to the new candidates of the next presidency. Does it sound like too much homework? Well that`s too bad. I hate it when people who don`t vote sit there and whine about our president`s decisions (not you gizmo :-) ). Can we completely predict what each president will do? No. But we can research the candidates` planks and decide if they share our opinion. Do I agree with the electoral college? Heck no, but due to the abundance of American apathy on government issues, this system will stay in tact. I know I can`t vote because of my age gizmo, but it is my responsibility to study each candidate for the next election.

Seem strange that the video also shows Bush pulling a so called "cheat sheet" out.

I`m sure Drudge was just about to break the story.

and yes, a vote does matter depending on your viewpoint. to the candidate that is running for office, all votes are important because they want the most votes to go to them. in the citizens` viewpoint (or at least in the US), a vote isn`t necessarily that important because we have the ridiculous electoral college system where someone can lose the popular vote and still win the election (i.e.: 2000).

Ugh, to be honest im in the UK so i cant vote even if i wanted. The thing is that it is justthat. A vote. Ok so yeah i guess one can make a difference, but on the same hand you may vote but its still some hypercritical politician that sits in the chair. So either way does it really matter?

just because someone does not vote does not mean that they are any less important to this country. this "get out and vote" propoganda that MTV seems to be spreading around seems to imply that if you don`t vote, you are a traitor. that`s complete bullsh*t. just because i don`t vote doesn`t mean i love my country any less. i would die defending it. by understanding that i cannot come to an appropriate desicion, i AM doing what i think is best for the country by not voting. otherwise my vote might go to the wrong candidate and that wouldn`t be good.

jlconran07, obviously your opinion is useless and doesn`t matter either since you cannot legally vote.

besides, even if you ARE legally able to vote, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU SHOULD. if you want to vote for kerry just because "he`s not bush," don`t vote. if you don`t pay attention to world issues, don`t vote. if you don`t read a good newspaper(s), don`t vote. if you don`t know who to vote for, don`t vote. if you get all of your political information from the 6:00 news, don`t vote. i don`t want any of your uninformed votes cancelling out the votes of people who DO know what`s going on.

the above is the reason that i am not voting this year. i do not believe that i have enough information on either candidate to make an appropriate desicion. i think that everyone should make the same evaluation of themselves.

I understand that you like to express your opinions here, but the plain and simple truth is this: It doesn`t matter what you think. Unless you vote for our leader to represent us, your opinion is useless. Did Kerry cheat? None of us know. And the fact is, it`s useless to sit at our computers and rant on a forum that only five people every read. (See if you can spot the contradiction!!!)

also, buddy, "Kerry Cheating at Debate" is a bad title to give this link since you don`t actually have any proof as to whether or not he was cheating (which in all probability he was not. the same goes for bush).

personally i don`t see the point of not allowing notes. in a real-life situation, you WOULD be able to use any information available to you...

who cares what someone pulled out of their pocket anyways? i mean, Bush used to be a crackhead and a drunk but you ppl still voted for him...i doubt kerry pulling something out of his pocket at a debate (or more accurately, a news conference since they aren`t actually debates) will have a negative effect on potential voters.

I have no rose colored glasses. We have the video. We have the witnesses. New York is going to have to pay protestors for their treatment of them. They are going to have to pay them. You know. . . I`ve seen this stuff in action. I`ve seen a girl I liked get her ass kicked by the cops at one of these protests for absolutly no reason. So don`t tell me I have rose colored glasses. I’m actually shaking right now.

As far as the debate desperation, the point there is that Bush literally lied in the debate. Things like A.Q. Khan, not being brought to justice. As far as good idea`s are concerned, I guess that one is up to you. I think that what we`ve seen so far, quagmire. . . the largest deficit since the great depression. . . I think these things more then prove that Bush has very bad ideas for America. And. . . it does seem very poor and sad to me to discount Kerry`s ideas simply because they were eloquent.

rag, they had the right to peacebly convene and protest, and they were doing one hell of a lot more than that. please take off your rose tinted demmy glasses and look at it objectively

i watched that debate desperation movie thing. GREAT points made at the discrepancies in bush`s speeches, however we have to keep in mind that kerry was part of Yale`s debate team and could make any point/counterpoint sound good with the skills he picked up at school. bush is, to put it niceley, not as eloquent, and that`s why we saw him choke and bumble in his usual fashion up there. he`s got some good ideas for america, but needs his speechwriter to make them SOUND like good ideas as well...ok i`m done ranting

Wait? Do you mean the Bush Bashers getting their asses kicked in the streets by the cops? Or the Bush Bashers getting their asses kicked inside the actual convention?

. . . when exactly did presenting factual information in criticism of a president become illegitimate again?

seriously though, you kerry wankers...ahem, supporters need to calm yourself on the bush bashing, you`re giving democrats a bad name. you already misbehaved enough at the republican national convention. take a breath and at least form your insults with a bit more decorum and creativity. ahhh, i`m shouting to the wind, aren`t i?
