"I wonder how many thought the same thing back in the early 1990`s? (right before Saddam went into Kuwait)"
Apparently, the first Bush adminstration, when they said on national television that they would not intervean in the "border dispute between Iraq and Kuwait." This was their origional position, and was given by prominite captured Iraqi generals as their main justification for going to war. They posed such a threat to the rest of the world that they wouldn`t have attacked if they knew the rest of the world woul
I`m not really sure why he was denying that he said Iraq was an "immediate threat," and I would like to see the full transcript of the interview (what they were talking about before the clip). Anybody who thinks that Iraq did not pose an immediate threat to the rest of the world has GOT to be kidding themselves. The fact that Rumsfeld is saying that nobody ever used that phrase is a perplexing yet IRRELEVANT incident. Liberals are just grabbing at straws trying to regain the presidency.
