Second, it`s not marketed to "kids," it`s marketed to college students. A&F Co. made Hollister to appeal to the teenage group.
Remember people, this is the same company that tried marketing thong underwear to the 4-7 year olds too.. You can still find some of them on eBay, they (of course) stopped making them though.
Am I totally uncool because I love Abercrombie? There, The Limited and the Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic trio are pretty much all I shop at ... where else is there that has super cute stuff? :-?
i guess somehow it makes them more edgy or "hard core" (no pun, please) but it just seems like they tried too hard
It`s the best way to sell any product, regardless of what it is or how stupid and useless it is. Marylin Manson did it, just about every dips#it "punk" band on MTV does it, television does it. I`m suprised it took Felch this long to jump on the bandwagon.

People want to be sexy. People want to be intimate with someone else. People want to be young. People want sex. Associating that want for the above with an item is good. Whether people directly associate their need for sex or they only indirectly associate it, is not the problem of the company. Their only problem is that people BUY it..
Also, an interesting thing to consider is topless women appear in Vogue and Cosmo magazines all the time. I think that`s what A&F was thinking, but they kind of take it to the next level. And the main customers of A&F are kids.
For a soft-core porn mag, its pretty nice
The pictures are very well done, I`ll give them that. I`ve never once bought anything from A&F because I think it`s horridly overpriced and I don`t even like the clothing.
They are targetting my age group, yes. I`m drawn to the pictures, yes. Therefore, in THEORY I`ll buy the product. And I`m sure that plenty of people will.
Basic advertising, really.
And what, exactly, are they advertising in those pictures? I never did get A&F`s adverts.
I can see why this was banned. It`s not appropriate for kids.
